You are correct. I was raised in Fairport and although it was a great place to grow up during the 60's and 70's,....the 90's and up were not and are not nearly as kind to Rochester and its surrounding burbs. There are still some pockets that are hanging on and there are far worse cities in the US than Rochester but the poor city leadership has really taken its toll on the flower city. Another interesting thing about Atlantic City is that it has the best deep inlet on the Jersey Coast, Absecon Inlet. That will take you to the state marina and its excellent facilities for boaters. Private interests are trying to gentrify the city, with push back from some locals. Hell, the city might be under water by the time they fix it--Atlantic City sits on Absecon Island.

If you are serious, move to Egg Harbor Township, not Egg Harbor City.

Florida Man's got nothing on Pennsylvania government. Pennsylvania is one bizarre state. Wow New Jersey cleaned up on this list.

It's so sad that the national capital is in the worst three! I've seen every state west of TX and would like to see the eastern seaboard. I'm in Quebec City, which is bad for public transit. We're supposed to get the tramway in 6 yrs. Worst public transit of any Cdn. city over 500K.

Erie is pretty nice compared to Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo. Ask me how I know.
@russelstrawmire981711 ай бұрын
Okay you can't say a city sucks because of the weather. You've said in multiple instances how great and wonderful you think Colorado is, and places that are far snowier than places like Rochester. Does Portland suck because it rains so much?
@WorldAccordingToBriggs11 ай бұрын
I can actually say whatever I want. But as with eveything, it depends on who you are. In Colorado they have things that make up for the heavy snow. Rochester doesn't have have many advantages in my opinion. And yes, to some people, Portland does suck because of the rain and to others it isn’t a big deal. You are looking at my videos like I am giving a difinative answer to someone if they should move someplace. I am just telling you some things you should know about these places. As an example if I tell you the loose guns laws are a problem in a state, some people would agree and take it into consideration before they move and it could be a deal breaker. Other people will see that as a reason to move there.

What about East St. Louis Ill? Is it not on the list because the Fed. Gov. had to come in and take over its finances? Or the fact that different mayor candidates keep on going missing? Or is it just too small to be considered?

Not sure if you saw the city of Florida City but it’s messed up. The violent crime rate is enormous. It’s basically part of homestead, it’s practically a small city within homestead, or part of its south side anyway

No clue why you mentioned Sea Isle City at the end. That is a nice summer resort town a good distance away from AC. Think you got the wrong data on that one
@WorldAccordingToBriggs11 ай бұрын
Nope. Normally tourist places have a good amount of crime.
@stephengraham795011 ай бұрын
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Sea Isle only has 2,100 year round residents. I guess the summer swell and the bars skew those stats. But considering SIC more dangerous than AC and its surrounding towns is odd.
@BarnDoorsTV211 ай бұрын
Yeah, SIC is no where near AC. It’s certainly not a neighborhood of AC. About 25 miles away in a different county. Not a big tourist area compared to the other towns on the coast.

Sea Isle City? Where the heck did that come from? As the worst suburb of Atlantic City? Is it the retirees that live there year round? Or the average home price of 1.3 million? Maybe it’s Jason Kelce owning a home there and Taylor Swift hanging out across the bridge in Stone Harbor? This one has to be a mistake!

Just as an overall observation about your channel, when it comes to places to visit/beautiful scenery you focus almost exclusively on the east/west coasts (tossing in Hawaii, Alaska, Florida) as if the “flyover country” has nothing to offer. It gives people who live outside of the US the impression no other state or geographical area is worthwhile. Try doing a video without mentioning anything about your usual places. I wager you have never really been to many of these places. I do love your videos and find them interesting and spectacular, just tired of the coasts.
