Not to gloat here or saying blind stuff but brics comprises of countries who have become stronger economies both themselves and together, especially china, India and Brazil. And now Saudi Arabia. Total BRICS GDP (ppp) as of 2024 is estimated about $65 trillions. As a capitalist economy US cannot afford to piss off BRICS by playing the bully here. China alone can put a heavy dent into US economy if it wants to because of how much US relies on Chinese imports (about 16.5% of its total import comes from China). And economy-wise US is not in a position to risk the cheap imports from China because like most other countries US inflation is high, housing market prices have gone through the roof, unemployment is also increasing. Also, it knows that if a tough rival of USD arrives for international transactions, a lot of countries will shift to it mostly because of the reason that this currency wouldn't belong to a single country like USD is. People are betting on BRICS currency because it is backed up by assets like oil and gold of its member countries, unlike USD which has mostly become a fiat currency...

Nonsensical argument. India and China are strategic rivals, competing for G7 markets. India's a democracy - ideologically closer to the US. Saudi Arabia's toast without US protection - and the US isn't reliant on their oil. Total BRICs GDP (ppp) as of 2024 is meaningless. Look at per capita gdp. No single member will sacrifice their economy for another member. BRICs remains nothing more than a talk-shop.
