Its kind of the perfect sport to talk trash. First of all its all about strength so if you lose it means you just got completely dominated by another man. Second its face to face. No running down the field or to the safety of your bench if you talk trash. Its like the most intimate, demoralizing scenario to be getting trash talked. The only thing similar I can think of is in mma or bjj getting dominated and submitted and having someone say some shit like that to you. The only difference is we usually can't hear them talking in those sports because there isn't a mic right next to them.

Favorite moment by far has got to be the staredown Devon gave Chaffee as he kept saying "YEAH BIG BOY" and then proceeded to crush him. That was so manly and satisfying when you factor in all the trash talking and build up that match had.

The best after the John Brzenk era and he's still not slowing down.
@philipp_a4 жыл бұрын
He struggled against Hutchings who is a middleweight and had to use the queen's move. chaffee would have smoke him badly, if not for the queen's move, which is not only cowardly but also only possible in that form because of the WAL pad. On an international level he is irrelevant. so stop talking about Brzenk - Larratt is nowhere near him
@deutzfahrmadman4 жыл бұрын
Only been 5 years since the brzenk era ended tbh
@michrap94724 жыл бұрын
@@philipp_a Hutchings was 250 lbs when he pulled Devon and Devon was 260 lol. He was a superheavyweight. Also that's 1 year ago and since then he's been getting stronger and by the way from 2008 (after he beat John 6-0) till 2013 he was number 1 in the world. He is the only man in armwrestling history that has held the number 1 spot for both left and right. He beat John 6-0 and then one month later John went to zloty and killed everybody including Dennis. Destroyed Pushkar 5-1 left hand(got PAL champion belt) and he was beating Lupkes, Tim Bresnan, Michael Todd, Travis(left and right), Oleg etc. Then he dominates the WAL 225 class and now he is back at the superheavys. Losing to Cyplenkov left doesn't make him irrelevant, it only makes him better and hungrier. He is the best after the John Brzenk era.
@philipp_a4 жыл бұрын
@@michrap9472 Hutchings was far above the optimal weight for his frame and it was not quality mass because he gained it in such a short period. Should be obvious, but for the fanboys it is not, of course. Yeah he won against pushkar long before his prime. And mentioning Oleg who is 2 or 3 weightclasses below must be a joke
