Imagine it’s 1775, you are in a cargo ship sailing in the high seas. In the distance you see a pirate ship. You prepare for the worst. But as it inches closer, you realise it doesn’t have canons. Not a single one. You are now just 20m away from the pirate ship. You wonder what they would do as they have no apparent weapons. Suddenly, a dozen men appear on the deck of that pirate ship, with lead balls held on their cheeks. You weren’t prepared. “I wasn’t prepared.” reads your tombstone.

He has had health issues (myocarditis hospitalised him for 12 days before Xmas 2017) and was the best junior thrower in the world by a mile, setting WR in every age group at every weight. As a runner, I've always gravitated to the weight guys after meets. There's a kinda gruff, rowdy but friendly brotherhood with these guys. Runners are generally self absorbed, somewhat vain and mostly unsociable during meets. But these guys who hurl the disc, fling the hammer, spin the shot: They're real people !! They're joke around , talk a little trash, BUT I've always watched them help each other iron out their techniques, slap each other's backs after a throw(good or bad) encourage each other. They are , no doubt, truly a close knit brotherly love group. Unlike the sprinters, There is no animosity or hard grudges..

This is still not the "full competition".. showing every attempt (for field events) is what "full competition" means. At least show the top performance for each competitor, in addition to other notable performances. Tim Nedow and Armin Sinancevic don't appear at all in this video, while the top throws for Hill, Bukowiecki, and Mihaljevic are absent. I understand editing constraints, but this seems really doable.. If editing really is the issue, then field event fans would be delighted with an unedited live stream of the event. In fact that would probably be preferable.
