So if a thick axe clearly hits in the red, but because of its thickness and tendency to crush and obliterate the pen line, it’s a 5 and not a 6? It happens to me often during practice.

What differentiated the five points from six point center, in the old target to the left?

No second bit or spike. What about hammer head? I love throwing my half hatchet with hammer head. Is that no longer permitted?

Just going by what the video said I would rule your hammer head as ok since it is neither bladed or a spike.

J.iv/a: No second bits or spikes on the opposite side of the axe head from the forward facing bit of the axe. Decorative blunt objects are allowed but there may not be anything that could be considered sharp. This will be determined by the presiding match official.

Can you throw underhand or overhand, or do you both half to throw overhand or underhand?

Can you do a quick segment of what is the scoring range on an axe. Does the top and one side count as a hit? Bc in the rule book it says (both sides of the blade.) have had some throwers kind of angry about the judges thoughts on how the rule is written!

How short can the handle be please?
@Deep_field2 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is a minimum on handle size. There is however a minimum length of the axe at 12 inches.

Are bearded axes and modified axe heads still against the rules? Why is that?
