Whether it's boxing, learning a piece of music, or solving any other kind of problem: break it down into smaller, doable, elements. Master each section, one at a time; after that, combine two sections and master them together. Continue adding newer sections to the mastered ones until (eventually) you get the whole drill down.

Coach, when it comes to synchronising feet with hands so you can punch and move at the same time, how would that work out if i throw a 6-7 punch combination? How would my feet synchronise with my hands? And would that mean i have to stay infront of my opponent or still have to be pivoting to get out the way? Please respond
@Shojushoju2 жыл бұрын
Awesome combination Coach!!! I'll have to work on this one. Question: It looks like Danny's Jab & Right Hand will reach your head, however, it looks like Danny's Left Hook to the Head won't reach it's target due to the nature of his arm being bent at 90 degrees. Could you do a video on the proper range for the Jab & Right Hand verses the Left Hook to the Head? I have the same issue on the heavy bag: If I'm at the right distance for the Jab & Right Hand, I'm too far for the Left Hook. And vice versa. Thank you!
@amansagar27352 жыл бұрын
This is a question I recently asked my coach. So basically, when shadow boxing, you always use 90 degree hooks, but in reality, a hook can have three ranges, close, medium and long. 90 degree is the close range hook. On the bag and pads, we use all kinds of hooks but not in shadow boxing. To answer your question about longer range hooks though, your hand will be extended, about 135 degrees and your fist will turn inwards so that you hit with your knuckles. This fist turn also helps protect your elbow because you cant hyperextend with your fist turned inwards. Also, I might suggest checking your form a bit, cuz if you hit the 1 2 with proper form and range, hook shouldnt feel that uncomfortable. Angle would be slightly higher than 90, but nothing of note. Make sure you're not over reaching in your 1 2's and keep your body straight so that it can turn at the hips properly.

From 10-12 step I can see your trainee cross his leg, is that good ?
@5iveniceateverything5277 ай бұрын
He didnt cross he feet bro he shifted his feet. Tom wouldn't let him cross his feet. He sees everything.. if his feet crossed you would of saw tom correct it. His feet cam close because he shifted slow your video down watch it again.
