My brother was a huge fan of what we call slowcore music. I used to listen to this band often when I was younger, like 15-16. I'm 31 now. Gregor Samsa reminds me of him and his musical taste. He died 4 years ago. Fentanyl overdose. (really a suicide) Anyway, this music brings me back to him in some way. I love my brother man.

Been listening to this since 13. I'm 23 now and it's still my favourite album. I can't even tell why, but 'even numbers' and 'young and old' shatter my soul completely.

"What I Can Manage" will always be beautifully crushing to hear and experience. By far, my most favorite track ever produced by Gregor Samsa.

I Give It A... *9.7 Outta 10* *Remarkable in almost every way. It would be a 10 outta 10, but they disappeared without saying goodbye and I'm pissed off about it*

This is what I would consider severely underrated music, it's just so earthy (and by earthy, I mean it just drags you along in a somewhat primal state of "aw") It creates the affect of feeling like you have weighted limbs, which I consider to show how excellent this piece of music is. It can physically affect your body, if you allow yourself to sink into the wavering sounds of echoed guitar and hauntingly bittersweet sounding voices.

I had the great fortune in seeing this band live.. a LONG time ago maybe 2005... in Manchester, UK. Probably the best sound I've heard at a gig EVER. Usually an instrument is louder than the other, or the guitars are too tinny and sounds like shit... But the sound was ridiculous. everything sounded so deep and buttery. So soo sooooo good.

Even though I produce electronic music they are the most influential band for my own music (together with Sigur Ros and GY!BE) and this is my favorite album ever. Been listening to it for almost 20 years now and the intimacy, the melancholy, the emotion.. nothing hits me more in the feels than this.

I agree.. Literally vanished, no trace

@@sactnsactn After 2009 there's no trace whatsoever of them. The female singer (Nikki Bennett) did vocals for a song called Wild things by Yeyey in 2015, but other than that their online print after 2009 is non-existent. I checked that song out and while I don't like it overall, her voice is as beautiful there as ever. Apparently the two singers got married in '07, so either something happened between them in 2009 or life simply got in the way. I don't imagine they made much money with music, so maybe they abandoned playing so they could get money to build a family or something. Whatever the case may be, I hope they come back sometime. If not, I hope they're happy doing whatever they're doing.

I really want to buy this album (ideally in digital files for my iTunes) but I can't find it anywhere... No Bandcamp, no Amazon, and iTunes only has a few EPs, but not their albums... Spotify only has two songs... Sad :'(
