That was incredible! Everything an X-Men show should be. First episode was just incredibly badass and episode 2, so profound. With everything happening in the world right now, I was honestly moved by Magneto's words. I can not wait to see where this goes. 10/10!

This was Perfect... I felt like I was 12 years old again. The music, the voices, the character designs. It kept everything that made the original X-Men 92 series so great with a slight modern twist. The original voices that returned haven't lost a step even after nearly 30 years. The new voices are also welcomed as well. I loved the Sentinel fight. The classic banter between Scott and Logan. The straight from issue 4 of the 90s Xmen comic looks of the team playing basketball, with the inclusion of Morph and Bishop. The moment that classic X-men theme hit I was all smiles, I also love that the episode 2 intro added a bit more to it, and I hope that happens each episode. I am so excited for the rest of the season and what other stories we will get. Plus that twist at the end. Could we see one of my all-time favorite storylines? I am so excited for me. Bravo Marvel, you did it right.

This is so fantastic. It took me back to my childhood when I was a little kid. I want this six toward the end of it and as a disabled kitten, I always loved it because I always felt different. It was my comic Charles my favorite for obvious reason.

That's not entirely true about the X-gene activating around puberty, some mutants are born with their mutation active (eg. Nightcrawler looking like a demon). Not all mutations involve powers, for some mutants (like the Morlocks) it's just physical deformity/abnormality.

The art style seems odd, but I loved Storm's effects and scenes. It was almost like an anime, and we saw some real shit go down that took off right where the cartoon left off. Can't wait for episode 3.

This is probably already in the comments. Rogue and Magneto’s relationship was before Age of Apocalypse. It was before the big 90s X-Men relaunch in one of the Uncanny X-Men issues. I believe it was in the aftermath of the Outback era when that group of X-Men went through the Siege Perilous to escape the Marauders. Rogue ends up in the Savage Land, where Magneto was hiding out, and they had a whole adventure down there.

I’m unable to watch X-men 97 right now because I’m currently watching the original X-men animated series. I’m currently on season 4 and I won’t be done with that series until the end of this month. The earliest that I can get around to watching X-Men 97 is early April because I have to finish watching the original X-men animated series before I can watch the new X-Men animated series on Disney Plus.

The rogue/Magneto relationship is dumb. Idc if it was in the comics because this isn’t supposed to be an extension of the comics. It’s a sequel to the animated series where there was no hint of a prior relationship and she looked happy with Gambit. Letting Nostalgia override what’s being shown to us isn’t a good thing. It’s a bad storyline to adapt for this specific show

Yeah i completely agree re: the issue of constant complaints of woke here. Ive seem generic comments made but I just dont see any actual examples, certainly nothing that we hadnt already seen in the 90’s. If it maintains this sort of momentum and strong storytelling then i only see reason to remain optimisitic and excited for more.

It felt like a more mature series than ever was. The pacing felt a bit uneven at times and Cyclops a bit OP in the first episode, but then again, the original started a bit too slow as well.

Jubilee's voice actor is a new actor. I was pretty impressed with the 2-episode premier of X-Men '97. I love how Logan clashes with Cyclops. This is the 3rd time Jennifer Hale has voiced Jean. Why Bishop's there is still a mystery, but I love Storm's entrances. I don't even get what that means, about woke. Somebody wanna explain that to me, please?

Sounds like this show has a false advertising problem in reverse; it was marketed as being less than what it was (the marketing WAS woke, even if the show itself is not). Begs the question of why Disney let the showrunner go. Yeah, I know about his OnlyFans, but that stuff isn't unusual in the world of Hollywood. Makes me wonder if Disney really does just hate anyone who actually works with the source material. I don't know, too many unknowns with that story to say for sure.

It didn't feel right... The animation was blechhh ,Jittery CGI , WTF is with everyone's eyes ?? There's this strange woke undertone to the dialogue and Wolvie seems like he's been neutered, it's not my X-Men TAS and for a show set in 97 it sure had a 2024 look and feel. Dunno why U gushing about this show..... They're obviously baiting us in before they unveil the full Woke cringe on us 😂 (See the Last of Us tv show lol) ...
