Had Vince paid for those contracts the invasion angle would of went so much better and Vince would of made his money back

He still made his money back. Look at the buy rate of invasion 2001

@@yugiblox3274that’s nothing compared to what coulda been..imagine Austin vs Sting headlining Invasion with matches like Nash/Hall vs Taker/Kane(Hogan interferes, Jericho vs DDP, Scott Steiner vs Kurt Angle..this woulda just been the start of the WWF vs WCW storyline(where Flair would pop up, then Goldberg) with Rock, HHH woulda returned..

Man, this re-opened up the old wounds. I was a WCW kid, barely knew about WWF, so when Shane and Vince appeared on Nitro, that hurt. I watched WWE until Goldberg's run ended, and I was done. Just too many factors in there that drove me away. A big part of it was Vince's pettiness towards the WCW guys. I getting back into Wrestling now, and kind of surprised some of the old WCW guys are still going (Mysterio, Big Show, Jericho, and even Sting until recently), but also glad I missed a few other things that would have hurt more. Like Sting's brief stint in WWE. Ironically, with Triple H now in control, essentially, story booking is better. And even the kids of WCW greats are coming into their own like Dirty Dom and Bron Breaker.

As a 9 year old when it happened. I can tell you first hand it was fucking insane. I thought I was getting pranked when Vince opened up nitro. But when Shane showed up I lost it.

Nash looked like a idiot again saying it’s all Brad Siegel fault and saying he did not take credit for what he did wrong he did the exact same thing Nash makes out that he made no mistakes at all

Nash saying that he didn't want to be on the final Nitro saying he didn't want to be on the Titanic when it sank, not realizing that he was one of the people that helped steer it towards the iceberg.

I got into wrestling a little later, like right at the start of the attitude era. But I remember the rivalry between WCW and WWF and I agree, it was so bizarre seeing a McMahon on Nitro.

That was the point of the documentary. To have the person who’s watching it come up with their own conclusions on who killed it.

Death by a thousand paper cuts. Makes me wonder what if WCW was able to be revitalized at that Big Bang PPV. I definitely liked this documentary more than any of WWE’s stories. I did buy Guy Evans’ book, and I plan on reading through it

The last Nitro happened on my birthday. I remember it like it was yesterday. I grew up with two major wrestling shows always on tv and going into uncharted territory of just one was a very weird feeling.

WWF was only owned by Vince McMahon. WCW after ted turner was bought out became a corporation with board members and corporate suits in the background. Erick had to deal with that. Where as Vince had nobody to answer to.
