Music was very good. No surprise since it was an originally an Amiga game. But did we really need the eyebrow flap at the end from a toothless crone?!

Yes, about the music, two really great composer of amiga (The great David Witaker and The great Noiseless) on this hit (this game was the most beautifull game in the world when it goes out about graphics on amiga) here it's just a little different about music arrangement or order of playlist of songs, but both version are good! About the game almost same things, but graphics still better on amiga and sound fx really better on amiga, but it's a good surprise to me to see a so good version on the pc engine!! So nostalgy to me :-)

Interesting to see how many small cutscenes they added to up the immersion. Nice going. This might arguably be better than the Amiga original.

Despite some of the cut out visual content like the redone backgrounds and some of the bosses this version seems to be infinetily more playable than the original or the other ports.

They adjusted some balance issues, added some graphic features and took out others. A much cleaner and easier version. Your health was doubled for this version

I find this game neat to watch. Its rather interesting to see what loony thing will attack next! Most of the enemies in this game have good detail on them even though they are on screen for 1-2 seconds.

I always thought the player's walk cycle looked rotoscoped... I just watched an amiga playthrough of this and this is fairly close... I suppose the cut scenes make up for the differences. Still a pretty and quite random game.

The music is off of the CD-tracks played during game (CD-ROM game for TurboGrafx). Of course, it was probably mastered from a MIDI keyboard, but you get what I mean. :)

So this was for pc as well..seemingly quite nice looking with close to original legendary music. Guess that was midi music? Didn't sound that much mod music.

It is not just a giant toe, it is the giant toe of a huge boss.. :), normally there is not just the toe but also a giant hand holding a kind of mortar stamping at you.. . Don't know the reason why the stamping hand does not appear in this video. (Watch other S.O.T.B. longplays -amiga for example- and you'll see that giant hand also and not just the single toe of him.)

I think you have serious problems. This is clearly the best version, even of the amiga. The music is better, the graphic even more and the game mechanics corrected.

Robert S audio quality is far better but the arrange is not so good like the original. Graphics are good but dont look so awesome and dark like the amiga one.

Way too easy version compared to Amiga. On Amiga timing punches was everything as you got hit if punch was too early or too late. Here you can spam those punches and there is also bonus hit points (On Amiga 12 was top amount). Flying part is a joke and there was also plenty extra hit points if you messed up in castle dungeon. On PC character moves a bit smoother and I like those little short videos. That surprise roar on castle door was funny. PC version is also more colorful but it doesn't suit for this type of game (only if you have played the Amiga version). I take randomness and nasty difficulty level any day instead of playability.
