This game will never fail to make me tear up. I used to play this with my mother when I was a child, the soundtrack takes me back to when I was 3-5 years of age.

For Rare’s first game on the GameCube (and their final on a Nintendo console), it was pretty impressive to look at. The lighting and fur textures made me convinced of what sixth generation consoles were capable of doing.

There is a mod out there called the Amethyst Edition which feels like playing a definitive edition and allows things like playing as Krystal, changing times of the day at will, and all cheat token rewards

Here's some ideas to improve on it. I know they're making star fox remadventures, but this is more to my own personal liking: 1) keep the story but add on some extra details 2) give Krystal and Scale more screentime, the former through telepathic conversations with Fox and even introducing herself, and the latter in terms of him observing fox and giving orders 3) have an actual boss fight with Scales 4) have Krystal be more helpful to fox than just the telepathic message she left on her staff (smart girl), like guide fox telepathically 5) Have Krystal be more playable, in which, while trapped, she is able to separate her astral form and walk along the astral plain and complete some tasks in the astral plain that in turn affect the physical plain. her weapon will be a staff like the one she lost, only an astral projection made real only in the astral plain, and even have bosses of her own (she DID have the Galleon boss though). also have there be interludes at Krazoa palace where she is playable, albeit on the astral plain and she sabotaging Andross's plan and weakening her prison 6) have it established that she had resisted Andross using her as a conduit to absorb the krazoa spirits, thereby rendering the revived Andross venerable, which I imagine in my own head 7) Have Krystal lose her staff as she is being trapped in the crystal, and by lose, I mean send away through a portal to Thorntail Hollow 8) As a last level before the Andross Boss, make Krystal playable and make it a puzzle in which she communicates with the rest of the Star fox team and has them help make a beacon amplify her telepathy to call for help, leading Falco to the scene, something else i imagine in my head 9) At the end, After Krystal steps on the great fox to thank Fox, Fox asks if she could join the team, to which Krystal replies, "I'd like that" Like them? admittedly I'd be annoyed if that didn't, because i'm one who doesn't like it when things don't go my own way

​@@Czapokxlong story short this game (Star Fox Adventures) is a sequel to Star Fox 64. In 64 Fox was in his Arwing (space jet) while in Adventures he's on foot in an action and adventure game. Even tho in the comics Fox is seen fighting on foot (even with a sword at one point) hard core fans of 64 bashed this game....it's a good game I recommend it, better than 64

This game was originally called "Dinosaur Planet", had nothing to do with Star Fox, and was being developed for the N64. Nintendo wanted Rare to change it into a Starfox game and develop it for the Gamecube.

I mean, Star Fox is a team of mercenaries, so there should be situations where they should jump out of their cockpits and fight on the ground. At least that's one thing Assault got right despite that game being clunky.

I still have this game. Such a shame this is Rareware's FINAL game they gave for Nintendo before Microsoft took it all away and only title of such on the Gamecube. Overall, good Zelda clone out of Star Fox, but the ending is clearly rushed. I wish Krystal had far more action.

If you play this on the Dolphin emulator, you can load up custom textures to have Krystal topless (sadly you'd need to be able to completely replace her model if you want to remove her loincloth).
