Happened upon this game by accident when I started collecting for the Famicom. It was buried in a lot on ebay, & to my surprise it's the Japanese version of Chubby Cherub. And for A LOT LESS MONEY!!!

Unlike our version, this one actually makes sense, given the source material it's based on.

Just a fellow Fujiko Fujio fan passing by Also, looking back, I really don't understand why publishers released license-based games like this outside Japan but strip away the license. I know Q-Taro is (unfortunately, like many of the Fujiko duo's works including Doraemon) barely known in America, but you don't need to be a big-mouthed, constantly hungry obake to understand that stripping a licensed game away of its license ironically can make a game more generic. But that's just how I see things. But regardless, I like this game a lot and I'm glad to see this channel play more games based on Fujiko Fujio's works -^ ^- (Also, about the description of this video: this game is mostly based on the 1985 anime adaptation and not specifically the original manga)

Now you know what it feels like to be the Golgo 13 game that came over here on the NES.

I had this (along many other early famicom games) included “on memory” on my old nes knockoff console. Never finished it, but got very close.

Only game I had on NES from Bandai was Ninja Kid (aka Gegege no Kitaro), I knew about Chubby Cherub through EGM, I learned about Dragonball: Dragon Mystery and many more through emulator when I had a Dreamcast. I got into these kinds of games since I was a kid and I have my mom to thank for it.

The white penguin creature in this game almost immediately reminded me of the one from Gintama.

It’s a ghost, but yeah it looks similar on design.

Looks like a Colecovision game. But its a very early Nes game.
