World of MONSTERS something called an "Angler"; I'm picturing this as a 9ft tall necromorph with the ribcage spread open in to a massive mouth lined with teeth, that attaches a boney and muscular tentacle to a secondary host; which mimics normal human motion and speech that works to basically lead a new host to the slaughter.

I got a good necromorph for you it's like a lobster looking creature with eight smaller shovel like limbs, two large claws , two arms with three long fingers and two double bladed slasher type arms it has a long spike ended tounge Wich it uses to infect like the infector, it digs up Graves and transforms the dead into new necromorphs .these necromorphs have a greenish color , the name of this creature Is The Defiler

Appearance aside, can we just take a moment to talk about how _painful_ these transformations must be when the victim is still alive? It’s one thing when it’s just their reanimated corpses, but imagine the immense pain these people are in as their bones rapidly grow, twist, and deform to horrific proportions, as their internal temperature rises to an unfathomable degree to the point their very flesh melts away, or the skin and body molds together as they grow new limbs from their intestines or other organs. And even after it’s all said and done, they’re still mentally trapped within the body. Physically, they have no control, their bodies simply on autopilot. But mentally they’re still alive inside, watching as they slaughter friends, colleagues, and loved ones with zero discrimination.

I was tellin my wife she needs to either watch gameplay or play herself so we did. We had to start on dead space 2 i got past the "tutorial" and the beginning after you have a weapon to defend yourself and i just handed her the controller. Almost as soon as i do, i said something to the extent of "im almost certain everyones dead youre fine" and we heard NNNNGUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH and then she got flung across the room and we laughed harder than anyone ever should playing a horror game. It was the mix of the timing the sound we werent expecting and issacs body blasting off like team rocket.

I love the Necromorph designs. Shame some of them were passed up. I think something that's semi-aquatic, like a crocodilian necro, or something that swings from the trees like gibbons and spider monkeys, with their already freakishly long limbs, would be absolutely terrifying to face. Twitchers freak me out the most due to their spastic mannerisms and I really loved the Tormentor for some reason. Stalkers are also high on my list of faves as they look amazing and introduced a new tactic to take them out. 😱

The Leviathan was always my favourite. The buildup to the fight is so suspenseful, and it must have been shocking for the time to see a monster that enormous in what was expected to be a conventional, intimate survival horror experience. You don’t even see the full scale of it, just the face, but the creature is purported to be much larger .

The Roller: A large necromorph with an armored back that can curl up into a ball and then chase after prey. They are used to hunt down humans attempting to escape via vehicle. Though impenetrable from the front while rolling, they can still be attacked via their sides.

The image of the creeper sticking a huge tentacle directly to the mouth of one of the habitants in the ship made me think: Ok, this has gone too far. Yet, it's a pretty good image, and it gave me an idea that he's trying to grab the organs of the habitants of the ship to gain more mass and become bigger, and using their bodies to get even more mass, which is epic.

A chameleon necromorph would’ve been awesome to see. Either blending in with general surroundings or maybe it’s something you only encounter in an area with corruption, where it blends in with the viscera on the walls until you’re within range and then attacks. Maybe it can even “burrow” beneath the outer layer of corruption, forcing you to track its movement, and then it bursts out to try and grapple the player or even just knocks you off your feet. The death animations could’ve involved the chameleon pulling you into the corruption and forcefully melding your flesh into it. For lore purposes, they could’ve been cultivators for the corruption to spread faster, acting almost likes worms tending the soil but also serving an offensive role if they encounter any life along the way. They could even create traps in the corruption that you have to avoid stepping on or bumping into. Cool idea imo.

I believe necromorphs would win due to the fact they are already dead and can assimilate dead xenos. If a xeno ate or implanted an egg inside a necro, the necromorph pathogen could infect it or worse and add biomass to make new ones. A xeno may be a more intelligent and has a brain to know that necros are rotten corpses so they would escape but they lose purely because they are living animals who’s goal is to expand a living population, not a dead one.

I didn’t know this till it was pointed out to me, but if you look at the grave robber you can see the bodies of Ramirez, Samuel Irons and Heather, a women who was killed while trying to run out of the communal shower, all characters from Dead Space: Downfall. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.

I’ve been thinking about my own sort of Necromorph idea, the Breaker. The Breaker is a large Necromorph that is composed of several human bodies. It is comparative in size to the Guardian, has two pairs of huge human-like arms and one set of bone blades. It has two especially large legs. A sort of tail stems off of the mid to lower back, which can launch explosive pods.

For DS4 what about a Necromorph that uses telepathy. It would Enhance or even boost Markers signal. Looking like mix between Necromorph and machine ( like if a creeper radio dispatcher or something from the horror movie Virus (1999) ) idk lol sounds weird tho
