Dream Build Video of the brand new 2023 Merida One Sixty Enduro Mountainbike. In this video we show you how we assemble the brand new 2023 Merida One-Sixty 10K. In the run-up to the official presentation on September 23, we received a frame kit and the parts and could take a close look at the new enduro bike from Merida. The Merida One Sixty 10K weighs 33 pounds although only robust parts for the hard enduro use were mounted (Maxxis tires with double down casing) and the bike comes with many extras such as mini tools, mounting plate for tube, robust chain guide, seatpost with adjustable stroke of 30-230 ...
It took a long time for Merida to unveil its new One-Sixty. Merida itself says "Having undergone the longest and most rigorous development and testing program of any MERIDA model to date, we're happy to say that this new machine is the most advanced and feature-packed mountain bike we've ever made".
The frame comes with a 64° steering angle and 79° seat angle. A much wider REACH range is achieved with the AGLIOMETER SIZING, with 5 frame sizes offering a reach from extra short to extra long. The new rear triangle is adjustable and can be ridden with 27.5" (172mm travel) as well as with 29" (161mm travel) wheels without changing the geometry of the bike. The new suspension kinematic offers more progression as the REACH increases, offering more support for heavier or harder riders while allowing lighter riders to actually us the full travel. The list of details and innovations is long! For more information look at

Merida selbst sagt "Having undergone the longest and most rigorous development and testing program of any MERIDA model to date, we’re happy to say that this new machine is the most advanced and feature-packed mountain bike we’ve ever made".

Almost a job well done. 1. If I'd have only one complaint, it would be the cable housing not sanded flat (Dremel). 2. Taping the rim is advised by the manufacturers to be started from the opposite side relative to the valve hole. 3. Mounting the cassette to the wheel whithout the tire on, and pushing the naked rim to the floor while tourqing the lockring is a no-go for me, but this is the least problematic of the 3. I guess I am geeker than most, sorry...

So many remote controls, may be is a modern and next generation in controlling, but in the forest, (or in the middle of nowhere) after long riding, when all these batteries goes down, what will happen. Otherwise look nice.

The Milkit solution(s) looks fine on paper, but in practice not so much(It's overcomplicated and poor quality control). I have issues with my valves as many others I see in reviews, and I even poured sealant directly down in the tire. The day after, even with the valves pointing up the entire night, the valves are very hard to get any air into with a small pump for when you are out riding. Mine are going directly in the trash and I regret buying a full kit because this was complete snakeoil in my eyes. If you're going to ride around with that bottle of compressed air, and rely on removing valve cores every time you want some more air in you tires, it's just going to be a hassle. I want to be able to do this quickly and with as few tools as possible. Milkit need to go back to the drawing table because this is not working well.

Servus, könnt ihr mir verraten welcher Hersteller der Pedaldummy ist?
@worldofmtb
@worldofmtb Жыл бұрын

Lol 15kg weight , my old cheap 130/120 alu frame full which i bought in 2014 (price around 1200eur) on acera/alivio had less kg jesus. Everything was heavy af on that bike. Why newer bikes trend goin into heavier and heavier bikes??
@arielhidvegi6910
@arielhidvegi6910 Жыл бұрын
Are you really comparing a pear to an apple? Where is the 170 spring travel compared to a 120 spring travel. There is also a weight difference between a 26" wheel and a 29" wheel. If you're so weight-obsessed, check out the Ninety-Six 7000.

@@arielhidvegi6910 It was 27,5 er, and 5cm more travel on fork doesnt do much when weight of both forks is nearly same around 2,5kilos, and my bike was XL size.

Well, it is a WAY bigger bike that clears the CAT5 tests for DH/freeride bikes. A frame that will withstand the abuse of DH will weigh more. And then you have to factor in that ALL components will actually be able to withstand this abuse, as well. I am pretty sure that your bike from 2014 would not be up for the task. In enduro racing you do not really care about weight. The only thing that matters for a rider is getting to the finish line as fast as possible. And to be able to do that - the bike must be able to handle abuse all day. So, you dont see any light bikes on any top enduro races at all. Heck - even the women spec DH tyres that weigh around 3kg for a pair...yeah 1500g per tyre. Nothing else included. Also - 15 kg is light for this category of bikes. Especially when you also consider that they spec tyres that you actually want to ride on with.DD - casing and good rubber adds some serious weight. Which is plenty for most enduro racers. Myself included. Most brands spec the lightest tyres just to get the showroom weight down, so when you buy the bike you need to add a lot of weight just to get tyres suited for the bike. THAT is bonkers. You could easily shed 700g on tyres alone, and then another 100g or more on the saddle. Probably a lot on the dropper as well - lets just pick a number. 100g..at least. The electronics on the flight attendant system is an additional 300g and the ZEB is allready 300g heavier than the Lyrik. And the wheels arent the lightest - but are sturdy AF and come with a lifetime warranty. So, a weight weenie build could easily shed around 2 kg without opting for super expensive components like Hopp Carbon or other crazy light and super expensive parts. But there isn't really any point of doing that considering the bikes burly intentions. 👍 And also - bike sizing is not the same anymore. An XL from 2014 from most brands would be like a medium or, actually, a small in some brands today.

@@pernyberg2816 the alloy one sixty I had it was unbreakable, I had some massive cases and flat landings and everything was bombproof. Only issue I found was the stupid joytec freehubs. I destroyed 2 within 1 week of enduro racing but the frame was solid as. In anyway, that bike served me well for that time but bit ended up upgrading with other enduro bikes which are light years ahead from a performance point of view. But that merida was good value for money but they are not anymore good value for money.
