Gassed out because Devon used the kings move. Without that Dave sweeps him... just like when they have met up before.

@@franklintyler4652 Thats kinda ironic since dave was the guy responding in a kings move and lost.

@@Adrian-sr6dz Dave has never used the kings move before or since. If Devon wouldn’t have used it first then it wouldn’t have been used at all in the match. Have you seen how Devon has faired against him in the past without the kings move? It’s not ironic to the well informed.

Him and Devon are good friends. What I really like about Eric Spoto is the fact that he maintains constant tension on his lifts. He doesn't really rests the bar on his chest for a second and then surges like most others do. Idk if it's easier this way or not but it's impressive. If it's easier to not pause and rest the weight on the chest someone please correct me.
@wagnernascimento89393 жыл бұрын
As far as I know the touch and go is easier than the paused press.
@montepr8033 жыл бұрын
@@wagnernascimento8939 Thank you for responding. I've been thinking about that for a while. Wich one is easier. I guess its the same as lifting your hands after you go down on a push up then go back up. It makes it considerably harder.
@wagnernascimento89393 жыл бұрын
@@montepr803 I'm not sure if I understand you, cause I'm still improving my english. But every lifter I'm aware lifts more touch and go than paused. The bar doesn't really "rest" on the chest, you keep the tension during the pause and loose momentum, making the lift harder. In a push up it'd be like if you made a pause at the bottom before going up back.
@montepr8033 жыл бұрын
@@wagnernascimento8939 Ok...You're saying that the way Spoto bench presses is harder than resting for a second the weight on chest and then lifting it?

@@montepr803 no, I'm saying the way Spoto bench is easier. Just try both ways and then you'll see it.

The 500 lbs for 17 reps has to be close to an 800 lb max. And he had more in the tank. I don’t believe even Julius has ever done 500 for 17. Correct me if I’m wrong. And the 405 for 26! He easily had 30 reps in him and again I don’t believe Julius has ever done 405 for 30 reps neither.

I know all the feats of strength are insane, but most are beyond normal people's comprehension. So can we all just take a moment to appreciate 315 x 45 reps. 315x1 is pretty much the benchmark to be considered a strong guy. By that I mean it's pretty well understood that the vast majority of men won't lift 315 without prior training. And spoto reps it 45 times. Have you ever tried repping the empty bar for 45 reps?

I think Eric would have been the first to make it to 800lbs, but he trashed his shoulder years ago and I don't think it healed properly. That 722 WR was his second powerlifting meet and he was benching about 700lbs before anyone even coached him.
