We tried all of the steps and finally got a glimmer of hope doing the massage, when it flickered the onn screen. Then the banging did the trick. We had to do this a couple of times. After the second time it lasted long enough to save all of my daughters pictures, stories, and drawings of her beloved cat, Simon, who passed away a short while ago. These files were priceless!! After the second time, we were careful to keep the tablet in the exact same position - I held it firm while she copied the files. Thank you so much!!

Thank you! The massage worked for mine, i massaged front and the screen would come and go and then I massaged the back and it worked. It does blink here and there so not completely fixed but did the job!

They have a flat ribbon that has 3 contact points on a flat surface, stupid design. I took mine apart and under the ribbon placed a piece of double sided thin foam tape to give the contact points pressure and the screen works great, and it never flickered again my 5 year old thinks I'm her hero now.😊

I have had issues with my onn tablet thinking that the battery isnt charging and then will turn off and is persnicitty about turning back on. It really sucks because I use it as my stereo/audiobook player in my bigrig. Sometimes a simple wait 10 min unplugged then replug works but not always. Today it wouldn't turn back on all day (at home luckily) and I was hoping to listed to my books as i did christmas baking. I have been trying to figure it out all day and when i got to the tapping method with your video it started right up after pressing the button. thank you. A little road rage might get it back in order in the truck, lol. I can at least smack it where it is mounted. :)

I subscribed because you are a genius!! The first 3/4 failed so I was losing hope but the massage method worked!! Its still very sensitive depending how my son handles it, but I just massage it again and it works. Do you have a video on how to fix the loose wire so that we can handle it normal with out it going black again? It'll suck on long car rides if it goes black and I have to try and massage it while driving! Thank you!❤

Thank you! First one worked for me. I don't know what happened with mine, it's only a month old and I only use it for banking stuff. Wifi wouldn't turn on. I tried to reboot it, then just got the black screen. Held the button, nothing. I ended up holding it for about a minute before it finally showed the onn logo. Knew I should've just paid the extra 40 bucks and gotten the lenovo.

Mine came on when I tried method #3, however this time I held the power button a lot longer than I did with the first 2 attempted methods, so it's possible that's what made the difference

What if you can see the backlight light (when pressing the power button the screen gets a little solid white brightness), but the screen doesn't work.
