After using my phone one minute and then out of nowhere it had a green/black screen like they do when you drop it on the screen, I thought the phone was done. I took off the cover and discovered a crack on the back corner so I thought the screen was screwed. Took a chance and came across this older video and low and behold...and a total surprise to me, the rubbing the screen with pressure method got it back going. Never would have thought that pressing the screen and back of the phone would get it back but my congrats and huge thanks for this video. Also kudos for doing a video with GOOD step by step instructions and explanation.

Man it's hilarious, I did all of the steps until almost giving up... I threw my phone in the freezer, got it back out, still nothing but a lot of condensation on the screen so I thought I messed my phone up for good, and after doing the pressing and tapping again, I could fast boot it and now it's plugged, charging with an apparently functioning screen! Even if it does not last long, you still made my day as I just wanted to be able to get some contacts and pictures from my phone :D

Just a heads up for anyone having this problem, make sure your phone is NOT plugged in while holding the power and volume up. That was my issure, but after unplugging, it booted up like a charm 👌

For those of you looking for a recent comment, this happened to me just 2 weeks ago. My phone turned black while it was plugged in for charge, had about 55% battery left too. Tried everything on this video but it just wouldn't turn on. Turns out that my charging cord had turned defective, got a new one, plugged in the phone and it switched on immediately and the battery was still at 55%. Booted to safe mode and cleared my cache as well. Just an additional tip incase anyone is going through a mini heart attack and none of these options are working for them :) Apparently it's a common one plus issue if your charging cable gets ruined

When my phone's screen went black, I rushed to the OnePlus service center, only to be told that data recovery was impossible and that the motherboard needed replacement, costing around INR 23,000 (USD 300). I think I am the perfect one to comment over this video SO my situation is like this I was using my phone (ONEPLUS 7 pro - 4 years used) and suddenly the screen goes off and no matter what method I tried, it did not wake up. Lastly, I thought that now i need to get it to a shop for a repair. Just before leaving the house, I just on a whim tried that Freezer technique (although put their for like 10-15 mins). and VOILLA, it woke up when I force start. Thank you man for this video. Amazing mate. This issue has happened to me for the second time. I couldn't remember how I fixed previous time so i tried all the methods you have mentioned and finnaly worked.. Did all of it and tried to boot again with power and vol up button ten it worked. S, anyone who is having same issue dont lose hope just try and try unless your phone is damnage the repair shop is gonna do same thing. So save yourself some bucks.

@@hussam5asd I took the case off and basically massaged the back of the phone. A little pressure. Then tapped around the whole front and back of the phone with my finger tips. Then when I did volume up + power it came right on. I am assuming something may have came a loose, and doing this popped it back into place.

Wow, my One plus 7pro ended up in Qualcomm Crash dump, I tried volume up and power to reset and it would reset but end up in qualcomm crash dump screen again. (No T mobile screen, no low battery no anything) Lastly decided to throw in ziplocks and freezer and after 50 minutes i tried powering on and immediately showed me low battery and t mobile logo and bam back to normal!! I will be requesting a new phone as I pay for insurance just incase it happens again but at least i can back up all important info incase it does. WOOHOO!!! NEW FOR LIFE SUBSCRIBER! thank you!

@@mathinakazi9050 had to set an auto power off in the settings. If your Google voice works you can set and timed power off and on. If it doesn't you can try being Ina really dark room. My screen wasn't entirely black, but barely lit up. I just set it for a couple minutes later then power on a minute after power off. Everything went back to normal.
