This does work. Took me just two tries. Be sure to hold POWER and VOLUME UP until the little Android guy shows up. You can do it. I believe in you.👍

I've had this issue a couple times in through the years, but figured if I asked someone and they said I had to take it to the store that's what I did. This morning I jumped out on a limb and found u first off. Took several tries and listening to it several times and my phone is back up n running. Someone else decided (yesterday) that they not only needed my device more than I did, but they infact needed every account attached to it as well, so I hope they are enjoying they're dummy experience with it all. Thank u so much for the Wednesday morning education. People are so dumb cowardly with the hacking nonsense, but at least there's people like yourself to help put it back together

Thanks a ton! Didn't know what I was going to do when I forgot my password! Got it on 4th try. My method was to do a count of 12 seconds then switch from volume down to volume up.

I didn't think he was trying to show you how to bypass a password, pin, or pattern, he was showing only how to factory reset. Doing a factory reset will get rid of it all and you can create a new password, pin, or pattern.

Does not work for this A12, have spent hours, searching and trying everything you can imagine. When the screen comes back it looks the same except it also has "Secured by Knox" whatever that is. I have a bricked A12 because my youngest son forgot the pattern. Not happy at all. Can't afford another phone and this one is like NEW, not a scratch, was only used for a month and needed to pass on to my other son who is mentally ill. To say I am cheesed off is to put it politely.
