Super helpful - I have a Fenix 5x that wouldn’t turn on -did all the cleaning tips from other videos and it did not help (screen was still black and doing nothing when plugged in) - did the hold the light button for 20 sec followed by 2 sec - watch turned on!! Thank you so much, I use my watch all the time, was frustrated that I was thinking I needed to buy a new one! Thank you for saving me 100’s of $$, Great video

Thank you very much. I have thoroughly cleaned the contacts on my watch numerous times with alcohol. It must be the cleanest set of pins on the planet. I have also cleaned the pins on my multiple charging cables. I have also tried to clean out the socket to see if some foreign substance was causing the cabler to not seat correctly. I had noticed that the play icon was showing up on the screen, but it would not power up. I pressed and held the button at the 10 o'clock position and my watch turned on. Thank you so very much!

It worked on the first try. Held it down for 20 seconds, release and than held it for 2 seconds and boom 💥 it came back on. I was about to throw it in the trashcan to be honest with you. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

Just bought a Garmin tactical. It’s the mating connection. Not the best design, since I’ve only had the watch three weeks. When you have in a particular angle it will charge. If you connect it and walk away, bad decision because you’re trusting the watch will charge. Ensure you angle the charging cable so that it’s visibly charging then leave it alone until completed. It’s frustrating yes but that’s what works for me. I’m sure garmin knows about this problem. Transparency is important.

Not going to lie, I had some serious charging issues with my garmin fenix 5x saphire watch and have also bought new chargers... never worked in normal positions, thought I had some issues with the charging pins on the watch (corrosions or something) but now it works perfectly... and the support was like "send it in and we give a new one for 220 euros"..

My Forerunner 935, it constantly restarts with the blue triangle. It is brand new, and has lasted almost 10 years. Also, the battery still lasted a week. I had to switch to the Fenix 7X but if I could bring it to life....
