well no, he said he wasnt very optimistic about EU overall - but that we can be optimitic about G2 specifically. FNC i'd say has a decent chance at showing up, but It's a drop in a bucket of them having any chance at all at winning the tournament. Mad is just an enigma, theres no chance they win worlds.. But... I can't quite place them until we see their first performance on stage, like i said - enigma. But It mostly comes down to G2 as usual, they really are the only team with manageable expectations behind them, they're resilient and so long as they are adaptable.. Problem is in recent years they've been essentially one-trick-ponies. As in, they have one or two great picks that catches the opponents off-guard, and then the enemy learns and dismantles them as G2 fails to respond. I just hope they have more tricks up their sleeve, or that they now have a stronger fundamental behind their strategies, so they can actively move the pieces around the board again. Regardless, to me - the excitement is in knowing the odds are against us. Every win is just that much more thrilling, when you know it might just be the last. Edit; I just hope the whole world wont overhype G2 if they start winning again, it seems to trigger the death flag real quick every time xD

Absolutely, with league, eu and na will eventually win. It's like the soviet smashing chess, after everyone adapts, Americans and other Europeans have taken the throne from soviet domination of chess. This, too, can happen in LOL, I firmly believe that after enough time. Eu and na will win a world championship after adapting, could be another decade, could be this year. I hope G2 does well nevertheless!

G2 actually got eliminated last year by BLG, not NRG. The NRG game was not an elimination match.

Only 3 teams have won BO5s against all the top 4 LEC teams by points (G2, Fnatic, BDS, and MDK), and these 3 teams are G2, Fnatic, and MDK, as they have beaten the other 3 at least once (BDS hasn’t won a BO5 against any of the 3). In the Season Finals, they have been the 3 best teams by far, and now many people are complaining because in the Summer BO1s, MDK barely made it into playoffs, but maybe you’d prefer SK, who won 88% of their games in the Summer Regular Split, even though they played horribly in all the playoffs. The 3 teams that are going absolutely deserve to go, both because of their form (the best teams in the last and most important split) and because of points. Sure, MDK made it into the Season Finals because they reached the final in Winter, I guess they should apologize for winning their BO5s against BDS and Fnatic in Winter...

GENG wins BLG/TES second and third etc. not hard to predict. T1 will shit the bed but eliminate G2 3-0 in quarters after close games just to make the EU fans suffer as much as possible. T1 will then lose 3-0 to GENG in 3 16 minute games.

Another thing for G2 Is how they are clearly the best macro team from LEC. a lot of their comebacks in midgame against other teams didnt come from opponents glaring mistakes as much as them just playing the map better and being able to gradually collect more gold over time. This has helped a lot whenever they've played hyper scaling drafts, while they can still very much win early games too if they draft for it

Both can be true, G2 do have the best late game macro in the LEC which helped a lot. Doesn't change the fact that LECs general macro is absolute dogshit and even worse than NA. Also doesn't change the fact that G2's early game is dogshit, hugely because BB and Hans cannot lane to save their lifes. This really reminds me of LCS 2020 when NA was on an all-time high supply on copium thinking TSM wasn't that bad because they kept out-teamfighting their way to the summer title. And then they got goomba stomped at worlds. Expect the same from G2, get some wins against low bob teams but get smashed by the top-3 + any of the dirty inters (T1, TES, WBG, DK) if they decide to play like humans. RIP.

I’m korean and a lck fan. But god I wish EU could win worlds for the sake of your region. You guys wouldn’t know how league in korea revived when damwon got the cup in china during the lck dark ages and how league and lck thrived when T1 slayed all of the lpl and won worlds last year in Korea. I wish league in europe can thrive again for more entertaining international games and more talented eu players to improve the quality of league in europe. I really will cheer for you all except for the KRvsEU matches. EU really has to step up for the sake of league. I wish NA would step up too. But I think europe has a better chance of steping up.

if we're being brutally honest already, there are just two "major" regions left. EU has definitely joined NA in the tier below LPL and LCK. the only upside is that our teams at least feature a lot of domestic talent, while LCS teams are predominantly korean and european players.

This is just easy to consume and get hold of the situation/ performanecs of each region without having to invest the time and hours watching their matches.
