Been watching competitve league since S3, the only NA team that ever came even remotely close of garnering the same amount of hope or hype was 2016 TSM, and even then it was still mostly just unfounded and baseless hope based only on their domestic performance during the summer split. Second best Western team? They're the 1st. FLY winning finals does not make them the better team. They peaked at the right time and got lucky that TL didn't play to their usual level. FLY has not shown the consistent level of TL, they've only shown it once. They cannot claim to be the best until they do some other than show up in a single series. And if you're going to say G2 is the best Western team, no argument will change your mind, you're just delusional.

Hyped for NA tbh. Flyquest and TL are both very strong teams (kinda like HLE and GENG in the LCK) and both huge contenders to make it out of groups. I think unless they are so unlucky to draw sb super strong like BLG, both should make it to playoffs. Especially if they got lucky and pull DK I think there are a lot of beatable teams for NA at worlds this year imho

Expect 1 (if lucky) or 0 team (as usual) getting into Quarters like the last 5 years. NA only looks good against FNC (stupid macro) and T1 (huge problem internally and meta adaptation, still lost twice). Also lane swap nerf will force NA to lane against superior laner in LCK LPL.
