Thanks for watching the video, I hope you enjoyed it. Please remember this is a complete one man production. I am presenting, doing video audio and all the editing after. I have tried to create the highest quality video I can, however this is still very much run and gun, not planned in anyway. Please forgive the odd error here and there I put my heart and soul into this production and did the very best I could.

Many would perhaps scoff at such a supposition, but these ultra- high end systems are what i’d call endgame retirement treasures. To truly glean the truest essence of their fantastic virtues requires the limitless time, only retirees have spending with them. And a very tenacious, contentious Mark I have with prices anywhere from Four to Seven Million Euros, and those skimpy and paltry 3, and 5 yr warranties are completely crazy! That amount of cash outlay deserves nothing short of lifetime Field Loaner Substitution while your unit is being Fully, and Completely restored! I know for certain I’d have sky-high electric bills from a fully air conditioned set-up, I’D N E V E R SWITCH OFF! From CD, to Turntable, to Cassette Deck, to MD, and ESPECIALLY where it all began, BROADCAST FM, I would forever learn the length of their true lifespans at those MSRPs!

As a lover of high end audio and collector of "traditional" equipment like amplifiers that LOOK like amplifiers, speakers that LOOK like speakers, turntables that LOOK like turntables...well you get it. Are we now in a new era of modern "ART" to achieve the new wow factor? I am seeing the madness behind the designers in collaborative effort to create the most outrageous visual and explosive shock factor to completely overwhelm us into believing if it looks like from another planet and dimension is MUST be the greatest audio gear in the solar system? If we want modern art, well...visit the modern art museum and bid on it. Suddenly the new wave of outrageous is everywhere it seems. Has someone forgot to that it doesn't take marble and granite and exotic bamboo and gold and carbon fiber and molding it into strange shapes by hiring art designers to baffle buyers into how it LOOKS rather than it's intended design and function to be the very finest in reproducing audio? Can we not stick to tradition and put all that engineering into what it is intended to be: Pure sound, how it looks is of very little importance (to me). If you are dropping megabucks into high end and it looks like a factory transformer in a cage that is all that should matter. Know it was designed for FUNCTION, not appearance. But alas people still want their bragging rights so it looks beautiful in their homes. Go figure.

I think in the main HiFi component design is often quite play it safe but then there are some very much out there and those brands create a very unique identity as a result. Aries Cerat is the best example of this as their HiFi looks nothing like any others but they sound very different too, its not just for show they are doing things very differently and the industry would be very boring if things were all alike.

Love Peter Comeau and his designs but stealth black is not a good colour to make speakers disappear in a room, in all my years knowing metalheads I've only ever known one person to paint their rooms black(!) have the speaker grilles in beige or off-white and they'll disappear in a lot more rooms. An early thing I did after purchasing Mission 770's was changing the grille colour to blend in with my typical off-white room colours then get wooden stands to match the speakers.. 👍 If you wanted to really go stealth you could release said colours above in addition to designs showing a pot plant, books or a sleeping cat etc.. a design that literally blends in with the home, maybe you could send a photo of your listening room and A.I could generate some unique designs for you etc.. 👌 hi-fi is a beautiful thing 👍👍

Hi Terry, I really enjoyed the video. It would have been nice to show the Fyne Audio room, especially when you interviewed Tannoy. I've owned Tannoy's for the past 30 years and was totally disappointed to hear it was sold in 2016, shutdown its manufacturing in Scotland and move to China. I sold my Tannoy's and purchased a pair of Fyne F701's, I couldn't be more satisfied. Impressive sound quality and made in Scotland, imagine that. If you're interested, check out an outstanding company in West Yorkshire - Sugden Audio, I just recently purchased their A21SE Signature Integrated. I've had tube amps for decades and this amplifier has similar characteristics, plus a fantastic price point. Cheers, Craig/Elizabethton, Tennessee.

It is not a High-End audio show, so your title is right. But.....a real High-End audio system should be a True High-End audio show. But the reason why it is a Hi-Fi show is all based on the fact that the people who give those demos are not able to relate to sound. This means they have no idea what each part of the system they use does individually. I have been there several times and the show proved how limited humans are regarding sound and music. This is why they imply incomplete audio products in their systems. This way they will never reach True High-End audio. Because those systems prove by sound and stage that they lack one or more aspects that sound possesses. You can only reach True High-End audio when every part of a particular audio system can reveal all aspects of sound. You can only create this when you can relate to audio. What makes you able to read any single audio product. This means you can describe which aspects of sound each part can reveal. And how the parts are being carried out one by one.

The hifi business is far from going down and this show proves that, the ownership of music systems has changed that is all. A hifi system is now a luxury good and not a home main stay like it was decades ago. The industry is now and has always made luxury products as a results. Affordable access to music has never been easier and I think there are enough affordable systems out there to easily balance the more esoteric options. It’s the same in all industries
