When you said "this is new“ to the foundation blending into your skin and being an exact match, ngl I got a little upset. Like that's something so many people have come to expect but you didn't even have that presented to you as an option. Ughhhhh I'm glad the market is finally responding to demand.

@Cindie Calderón It doesn't matter if there is a demand or not. It should still be there for when the demand is there. Having a deep shade range to match how light some foundations get should be commonplace. There is no good reason that it took her forever to find a foundation that finally matches her face.

@Cindie Calderón have you been living under a rock or smth? Hoards of people are demanding for more diverse products, that's why fenty beauty was such a hit, bc it catered to all skin colors instead of just 50 shades of mayo and 4 shades of brown. Just bc ur white ass ain't demanding it, doesnt mean its obsolete

There ABSOLUTELY is a market for dark shades, the beauty industry is only just now starting to make basic makeup for black women, let alone dark skinned black women. The real answer is racism and colorism. Doesn't matter that it's 2019, this country is still gross and racist and it's infuriating and sad.

@Cindie Calderón lol someone's a little offended, maybe you should step back and think critically about why you're so triggered by someone mentioning racism? A makeup brand needs to collab with her soon because the fact she can’t find foundation and concealer and powder etc is annoying and everyone deserves to be included. I have my shade in all those things so I know I can’t understand how hard it must be. If a brand in the drugstore or high end collabs with her to even just add deeper shades to their shade range already would not only sell out but people with the same rich dark skin tone would have a lot more easier and better experience. I’m just saying y’all

Cindie Calderón Nyma addressed this before (besides, I do doubt you took an economic class in the first place and are instead spewing racist bullshit, because it really shows you have no idea what you’re talking about). Black women are a HUGE market in the makeup industry. Your logic doesn’t work because it’s makeup brands never offered makeup that matched their skin then stopped making it because people weren’t buying it. They never offered it in the first place. Do you know why? It’s racism, not supply and demand you fucking idiot. Fenty and Huda made a LOT of money from making foundation and makeup for darker skin tones. Sorry not sorry I had to drag you, your whiteness was showing.
@wormhunter6340

Cindie Calderón They’re calling you racist because you ARE racist, you’re spewing lies used by racists to not make products for black people. “Facts don’t care about your feelings”?? Maybe that was the plan. If you make a darker shade and you mess up you get bashed. If people discover it and *then* news spreads the company already has a one up. And now they will make the powders and concealer - so in their attempt if they mess these up they don't get trampled by everyone for not knowing better

@@burnttoastspacegirlfriend8769 & @Faith Tarzan not producing a comprehensive product line defies logic. The same formula L'Oreal used for other hue lines should have applied to this spectrum. Even if the company would have limited the production of powder/concealer etc. used in conjunction with the new foundation, the extension was an opportunity to satisfy an unmet need for richer hued individuals, a check for the inclusive box, and an industry buss worthy endeavor that could possibly increase demand; they missed the target on this one. None the less, hopefully they will rectify this mishap, or their competitors will learn from their mistake and capitalize according. (But I will admit, the foundation is beautiful on Nyma).

I use L41 and I was told they've never had to swatch someone to that shade. For €18 I think you can get a 15ml bottle, it's rly full coverage so you don't need a lot and they should have something rly white

キアラ in L’Oréal’s demographic. It is comparatively. African-Americans make up about 13% of the population and out of that, a small percentage are of this color. Producing 3 shades this dark should not be chastised. A lot of the makeup industry isn’t purposefully excluding those based on skin color, but more of profits. And stocking every shelf with this color may prove un profitable. Also- they may have launched these colors in more urban areas- I doubt it would be smart to launch in Kansas or Oklahoma, etc... but that doesn’t mean they’re racist, just means the money doesn’t match how much it cost to produce the item

Cindie Calderón there is a demand, though! Look at how quickly companies are finally adding to their shade range (albeit still imperfectly) once Fenty become such a force. The "invisible hand of the market" is hardly neutral; it's thoroughly affected by societal factors such as historic western beauty standards.

God I love this shade collection. I’m the whitest of white and normally find that the most fair tones are much too yellow on my literally pink skin. I’m definitely going to look into this true match line. Keep being awesome and bringing attention to large shade ranges (specifically in the deeper side as that is REALLY lacking). your videos are helping even those on the total other side of the spectrum!

Omg yes honey it DISAPPEARED into your skin!! I have that same rant regarding darker shades being AVAILABLE IN STORE!! Why are deeper shades not regarded to be in store??! The darker shades they once carried are no longer on the shelf in store. I was told that I could ORDER THEM ONLINE and if I get it shipped to the store it would be free pick up. 😒 Like I said WOC SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ALL THAT!! Sometime you need it the same day. Me not having the same availability DESPITE having my shade is telling me it's NOT TRULY INCLUSIVE.

This is such a problem for people of color to find matching shades. It’s way worse in my country: we don’t have many people with dark skin, so our foundation color range is always really small. There are 10000000 shades of fair, pale and medium ones, but I haven’t seen dark shades in a while and I think that’s REALLY a problem. My African American friends from university are always complaining about the fact that ranges of foundations is too narrow for their skin tones. I hope one day people will stop thinking about money (because as I was told “DARK COLORS ARE FINANCIALLY UNWORTHY IN OUR COUNTRY”) and will care about people of all colors more. Peace ❤️

Sigh... You're saying this to a woman that hasn't found an exact match to her foundation until now. I understand what you are saying, but think about it... You are essentially telling someone who can't even find foundation to match her skin by walking in a store like we can, that she doesn't need it anyway. The whole point is inclusion. It's not right or fair that people with deep skin tones usually can't wear foundation that matches.

I love the positivity of both you Nyma and all the subscribers in the comments (seriously, this is one of the best support groups on KZbin, the only other comparable is 'how to adhd" channel, I think). I like to be informed by the shortcomings of the beauty industry towards people with dark(er) complexion - so that I can e.g. not buy stuff from companies that treat PoC like they didn't exist. And if I can show my support in such a pleasant way, by watching videos of a youtuber that is actually a delight to watch, then I am all in! :D

The main reason they are only now recently selling darker shades is because we have all these Black and Brown celebrities who have launched their own collection and these old skool companies have realised how lucrative this market is. Just be clear these conglomerates are doing it not because of Social Awareness as they have been aware for years they needed to extend their range for people of colour but didnt care we weren't their demographic because they considered us too poor or unimportant but now they are ready to extend their product range because they know it makes them MORE money as black culture is more prevalent in todays society especially in Social Media. (Another topic which annoys me using black and brown women to get them free advertising yet pay white celebrities or models for TV ads...but that topic is for another day) Iman Cosmetics has been doing this for years and Fenty were the first to bring out a RANGE of darker shades, and many others e.g Fashion Fair so my props goes to them because if they didnt start the initiative these old skool conglomerates would not care or bother.

Nyma! Watching you smile and laugh while finally matching a foundation so closely to your facial complexion made me smile so wide. I am always so excited to get your video notifications because you’re such a genuine and wise woman who really comes across as a friend through your videos. I’m even more happy to see you excited about a foundation product that works so well for you! Keep being great, and I look so forward to watching more of your videos :’) Hopefully these companies continue to notice your massive impact and expand those concealer, powder, foundation (and literally everything else) ranges. Now I get to watch Auntie Jackie’s videooo 😁❤️❤️❤️ Peace and love!
