In the north woods we have many area's that at one time where logged so stumps throughout in area's. My father told me if your ever lost overnight try and find a old stump close to a live pine and light a fire up against the stump it will burn through the night

Nice explanation but perhaps in these modern times, a less angry and wasteful scene involving food would be less offensive. i am referring to the final scene of smashing a plate of food.
