F'n awesome brother! That sounded amazing going by...lol. Hey..I connected a different radio to my X-01 MM2 esc and I have steering but no throttle and the esc's lights(all 3 flash) and I hear a steady beeping. I tried having full throttle before I turned the esc on...nothing. I'm not familiar with Castle esc's...I searched for info but I'm kinda stumped on how to make the esc work. I took all telemetry off and I just have the throttle and fan wires going to the receiver and a servo wire..that's it. Any idea?
@GrimReaperFireworks4 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother much appreciated. on the Traxxas/Castle ESC, you will have to call Traxxas and they will tell you how to unlock the ESC further to accept other radios I never use any of their electronics I just pull it all off and run mine so I am not sure what it takes to open it up
@KaizerTest4 жыл бұрын
@@GrimReaperFireworks Faaaak. I figured as much. I hooked the stock Traxxas remote back up and it worked. But after I tried my other remote and went back to the traxxas remote again it didn't work. I never had any stupid issues like this before with an esc. I tried everything I could find online but with no luck! I like Hobbywing...nice and simple. I may throw an Arrma BLX185 in it for now.

@@GrimReaperFireworks Sooooo I finally figured it out with a tip from the Traxxas forums. You have to use the Castle Link software and cable to disable Live Link. I had the Castle Link Chip and cable I got when I bought another Mamba X that I haven't used yet. I turned the whole basement upside down trying to find that cable I bought a year and a half ago...lol. I almost gave up trying to find it. But in the end disabling Live Link worked and I was able to calibrate the esc with my new radio's trigger and all is well now....hahaha. 😂🤦♂️ I really didn't want to put another esc in this car because my goal with this one is only 100mph if I can. I have my Slash 4x4 and an Infraction that I'm going to build with a Deltaplastic Jaguar GT body for my journey to the 150Mph club. The X-01 I had for a long time and to be honest I wish I never bought it. But if I can get her tuned and running straight maybe I will change my mind...lol.

@@KaizerTest I am glad for you that you got your ESC working thanks for posting your findings. I sold the ESC never used right off my XO-1 to a friend he said he could not get it to work either but a friend of his got it unlocked for him because of you now I know how he did it lol. I have to say the XO-1 is probably my favorite car not because of what it was but because it is the first rc car that I redesigned completely without anyone else in the world having ever done it. My car is an XO-1 in name only because they are terrible cars, after I do all that I want to do with it I am going to post all the behind the scenes stuff about how I built it and the original concepts that make it what it is. Kind of a mini documentary on it, I have kept a photo and video log of the whole build

@@GrimReaperFireworks Thanks brother. I'm looking forward to seeing the vid of how you made your X-01 when you make it...should be really good. My next speed run car will be my Infraction. If you ever switch to Arrma I think you could give all the big boys a run for their money. Raz is up to 166Mph which is insane on a public road...lol.

Amazing! Running any oil on the diffs? I would figure you will get more speed with less resistance if little to no oil is used.
@GrimReaperFireworks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Mario I appreciate it. only 3 in 1 oil on the diffs
