after going the DIY route with my own mx650 72v 3000w kit and having a few parts fail im really considering this!! I got the 3000w motor up to 38mph w/ a mx650 front tire relaced onto the rear hub but that build failed, this video convinced me 95% of the way to get a surron motor and tune it with my kelly controller myself.

on my sx500 ive hit 47mph 72v , 2000w 13/80 ive hit 42mph 72v, 3000w 11/80 (enc 6000w motor) going 65 rear sprocket today

@@MooseRidez I had another mongoose cx24v450 I had built it was 72v 3kw with a 4:1 gear ratio and it flew. Missed it enough that I found another and now I'm building a 72v 6kw set up on 18in moped rims laced to Gemini hubs using 12g spokes and 18x3in tires

@Jayjay nice man! On my channel I have my sx running the new ec4p and man turned down, I've hit 48 with 13/80 gearing
@MrJasenstewart97 Жыл бұрын
@@TURBOMOOSE I like how much bigger the cx24v450 is than the mx650's. It's hard to describe it's like between a 80 and a 110 but it feels like a full size bike that's super nimble and you can flick around the road like nothing on some 20x2.8 tires

DIY is fun, I have a bunch of Nucular controllers etc on order and I already have battery building stuff, i have one Nucular 24F coming next week and couple more propably summer/fall, once those arrive ill propably order a buch of QS motors (120, 138, 205), its nice to have parts around so you can build stuff once you get an idea, one thing i want is a mobility scooter with a Nucular 24F and a QS138...the bike im building right now is around 10K€ so it will be a while before i start building something else, someday i want to build my own frames but that will take a year or two at least.

What thickness was the material for the swing arm? I am definitely building this for myself and Children. It comes out less expensive then an actual surron. Love it. ❤️

Im building a poor man's motoped myself from a mongoose cx24v450. I just got the motor and waiting on the battery to be built and the controller and lights to be delivered but itll be a 72v 8kw beast. Also got some air forks and rear shock upgraded the wheels to 18in moped rims laced to Gemini hubs using 12g spokes so it should be able to handle everything I can possibly throw at it
