Worlds First Toronto Red G87 M2 with Yellow CSL Lights!! *AMAZING LOOK*

Hey everyone, welcome back to daily downshift! We recently got the car fitted with Yellow CSL Modules from our friends over at Motorsport+. IND sells them on behalf of Motorsport+, the link is below if you're interested in checking them out. Overall, I think this is a really nice aggressive look for the Toronto red G87.. Initially I thought the yellow would clash too much with the red but it works quite well. More mods coming soon, enjoy the videos!
Please be very careful not to touch the LED’s on the module when pressing them down on the heatsink, they are fragile so extreme care is needed!

I feel like this guy is getting the M2 for free just with me watching all his videos. Smart move! Thanks for the content. I am in list for one maybe in one year. Very excited. I would love to know more about daily driving this car and the associated maintenance. Once you pay the tag price, what else should I be expecting?

Sadly no free M2 for me, this is just a very expensive hobby haha. It’s a great daily car, I haven’t ran into any issues or inconveniences. Here in Canada the first 3 years of scheduled services are free, so that includes oil changes, filters etc.

FYI - generally you should just aim to torque to what the manual says. Over tightening can be just as bad as under tightening, as vibrations are a tricky beast! I've never seen a single value given though, probably corresponds to a range of 100-104 or something like that.

Great point, over torquing can lead to issues as well. Sticking with the factory numbers now!

The blue stuff on the back is not adhesive, it's thermal paste.

Hey do your headlights curve to the road?? Cuz BMW is marketing them as such…Full adaptive headlights

Yup! If I take a turn for example, the headlights will lead and shine in that direction. Very cool stuff

My 2005 X5 has full adaptive bi xenon lighting- it’s not new tech. The projectors in the headlight will pivot left or right depending on steering wheel direction. In the X5, there is a ride height sensor, which adjust headlights up and down depending on suspension (tie rod) movement. I would suspect the new cars operate in the same manner or similar.

Gym schedule: Leg day, top day, and bmw day. How do you find the jack point to lift the car?

Quite accurate haha! Jack points are rubber rectangles that protrude from the underside, they're quite spread apart on this car just like the M3/M4.

Hey man the CSL yellow DRL really pops! Quick question tho, does it have the same color/hue with turn signal? I’m planning on this but wondering if they differentiate themselves clearly. Thanks!

The turn signal is a lot more amber, the CSL yellow is more of a lemon yellow color.

Lifted the back to get jack stand under the front end, definitely did some extra work
