Worlds SMALLEST Crawler tractor! Lennox Kittytrack

This is a rare 1964 Lennox Kittytrack 600. Originally made in DesMoines Iowa. Roughly 200 still exist today in various years and conditions.

I plowed snow with one of those in the late 70's and early 80's in Western Massachusetts when I was between 12 and 17 years ago. I worked at a paint factory (3 man crew) and got to clear the snow with it to be able to leave to go home after work. After clearing the snow the boss would have me start and warm up his 1970 Olds Delta 88 that had a "Rocket 455" in it. Me and my best bro who worked there would blow donuts with the old Delta 88 at the end of the street turn around. The next day and every day after when it snowed..... Wash-Rinse-Repeat. I hope that you liked my story! Fact!

my grandfather worked for Lennox from the 50s to the late 70s before they moved too Texas.

needs a Harley V-Twin running a hydraulic pump with hydrostats for drive and accessories. Might be a tight fit, but more gooder, and MROE POWER! Very cool find!

The issue with all of these smaller machines even the vintage garden tractors and what not is usually never the power they all lose traction before power. So weight is a must, also a small diesel sounds like it’s a necessity because wel diesel lol.

Liked in depth commentary. Along same line I have a small trackloader that was made by Busco Mfg. in Ft.Wayne In. I put a v-twin Wisconsin on it as it didn't have a powerplant on it when purchased out of a barn. The sound reminds me of a Farmall M pulling a disc needing grease. My children are in their early 30s and we have pics of them when they were toddlers on it . I think its from late 50s eatly 60s and it helped me with a lot of heavy lifting until my skid loader came along and I used a Caterpiller to put away a Kittypiller as my brother calls it. I'm going to try to send a pic of it if I can figure out how to do it. As for dimensions it will fit in 8' bed of pickup. Drives are hydraulic.and double roller chain finals.

Now the cheapest diesel engine that would probably fit in there is actually from eBay and it really has no name on it but I do believe it's made by yanmar it's a V-Twin and it puts out 10 horsepower and I don't know how many torx probably like 30 or 40

Sorry to break this to you but that is not anywhere near the smallest dozer in the world. Check out RC dozers. A lot smaller and they're fully functional and they cost thousands of dollars! They have miniaturized battery powered hydraulic systems that operate the hydraulic cylinders! They also have miniaturized fully functional excavators, dump trucks, loaders, all kinds of farming equipment, etc.

One modification you can do is change it from a belt PTO to a shaft PTO where you can put more universal implements on the front I might take the blade off and make it a pure agricultural one no draw bar a PTO maybe a three-point hitch but what are you going to do with it put a body on it and make a little tank I mean dozers are pretty Pacific in what they're designed to do I'm sort of with the other dudes if you going to restore it restore it to original or do something that still keeps its original lines but does something better than what it used to do

Basicially yes. there were several attachments geared towards gardening. among them being front mounted tiller, mower deck, snow blower. Was advertised as being more maneuverable and having higher traction while being gentile on lawns.

You might get more power out of it if you switched it from belts and pulleys to a hydrostatic transmission
