Brad Domke (Wabasso Beach, Florida, USA) takes us through his controversial wave (ridden on a finless skimboard) that earned an unprecedented nomination in the Billabong Ride of the Year category of the 2015 WSL Big Wave Awards. Domke rode the wave at Puerto Escondido, Mexico on July 5, 2014. He finished in fifth place. Dylan Palmer was the nominated videographer. drumisland Totally agree with you! Back in the day I would commute an hour and a half to skim at laguna 3 times a week. I wasn't the best, but I learned quick from the locals. The guys at Exile were super cool people, and the fact that their riders have done so much for the sport is another story. Mad respect for Domke and all his wonders!
