Is there a way to do this with silicon molds? I struggle with delamination on mine and when I use a heat gun my glitter sinks. loved the video!
@DelawarePondHoppers3 жыл бұрын
I had my glitter sink on the second layer. I used the aluminum open pour mold. I also noticed the glitter fell to the bottom of my pouring cup. I had to try stirring while pouring. Does anybody have any suggestion on this? Michael, I tried doing two layers with ribbontail worm silicon mold. I did have a batch that they just peeled apart. I did heat mold on griddle at 300° and those turned out a lot better.
@MichaelWilliams-il4pp3 жыл бұрын
@@DelawarePondHoppers Thanks for the info! wasn't sure if you could but the silicon molds on a hot plate or not. I found that swirling the cup after every pour helped with the glitter but cooled the plastic way faster.

Great vid. My question is how do you get rid of the cold cracks when you only have rubber molds because pre heating is so much harder.
@loganwright34233 жыл бұрын
I've preheated my silicon molds on the griddle. Most Silicon has a heat tolerance of like 390. So I just set my griddle to 300. It takes about 20 minutes to preheat them but it works really well. I hit them with a heatgun if they need it but they usually don't. The baits turn out fantastic and I've probably done 30 or 40 rounds with no noticable effect. Just be sure to hit your molds with a silicon conditioner before you store them.

Looking for any tips, prior videos, future videos for a beginner. I am just looking to start by melting my old senkos and creating new ones. I have a 2nd microwave and a pyrex measuring cup. I figure this is a good starting point before I start mixing my own color and everything. Is there a kind of mold I can hand pour but would give me a reliable senko style bait... for a beginner attempt, that I could also hopefully reuse once I get an injector or once I want to start mixing my own color or hand pouring more elaborate baits? Any advice appreciated. New to fishing and I think baits is almost like a secondary hobby associated with fishing, whether making softs, pouring lead, painting baits, collecting baits, etc. Thank you.
