The quality of rallies in this match was Amazing! I hope we get to see more of Zhou Qihao on the main stage in the future, his athleticism in table tennis is some of the best in the world.

agree, they should change it so it isn't a maximum of 6 players a country. Xiang Peng and Zhou Qihao are way too good to be left out

Both put up a fantastic performance. Zhou Qihao shows he can do it all: chopping, chop blocking, lobbing, etc. Superb footwork. Incredible physical condition. So much fun to watch.

Yeah, it's surprising to see Dima gave up at 5th set. It's happen to me plenty of time when it feels like you have tried everything but nothing is work against some opponent and you lose the belief that you can win. But I'm an amateur player so it's not that uncommon. But see this from Ovtcharov ... yeah, surprising to say the least.

pro players dont really give up, sometimes youre just not 100% in it, maybe due to exhaustion, but i dont like when people just dismiss a bad set from a pro player as bad mentality, because all of those pros have excellent mentality or else they wouldnt be where theyre at.

@@bryanwells4063 I’ve played table tennis in professional leagues that is pretty much the easiest kill you can have, he took it too aggressively he messed up his opponent did not win the point he lost it and at that moment in that tight a spot it’s mentally devastating

@@Nokpest11 just look at the last 30 years of the sport. In fact, the 2019 WTTC, imo, was the best shot tournament in years (multiple angles, etc). Table Tennis is a sport with Bi-Later dynamics, which are all lost with the side of the table angle

@@Nokpest11 But that's the point, "angles" is plural, and all previous major tournaments up til 2019 WTTC (before WTT screwed everything up) included a variety of camera angles to provide dynamic angles (up close of the serve, reverse right and left, overhead, side, etc) of a dynamic sport. Having only ONE (let alone the side of the table) angle is unprecedented. Can you imagine tennis ONLY from the side? There's a good reason they don't and blowback would be swift.

what do u mean ? Every replay is being shown from a different camera. You get alot of different angles there. Changing camera while playing would be so irretating to watch.

He was obviously ill but still put up a hell of a fight in the first 4 sets. He put all his energy into the 4th set and then there was nothing left in set 5. That's nothing near unprofessionall.
