@@uaVeron , there are the rules, but are not practical, you cannot instantly vanish the arm, so there will always be some delay. As the player rotates his body the visual path to the ball becomes visible anyway. And as long as the opponent can see the contact point, they are rarely fooled.

@@shenzhenpingpong , Lin Shidong (Xiang Peng) initially stands in such a way that he cannot fulfill both of these points of the rules. So he break the rules on purpose. Look 0:07 on video - Lin closed the ball even for the camera, which is on diagonal, and Freitas is left-handed and is not in the left, but in the right corner, he DEFINITELY does not see the ball.

@@uaVeron , Lin and Freitas both essentially serve the same way, throwing the ball back and then revealing it as the body turns into contact. You cannot judge by the camera angle, tit's not the same as the player's angle. Notice, it also looks like somethings the ball is over the end line, but it's not.

@@shenzhenpingpong unfortunately, the operators during the serves work very poorly. On Freitas' serves, they did a much worse job, but a small part of his serve was clearly in line with the rules when the ball was tossed in front of him. ALL serves of Lin violated the rules. Both pendulum and reverse pendulum. And on his serve, it was the right diagonal that was shown, from this angle it is clearly visible that he throws the ball behind the head / body, covering it from the opponent, who is not standing diagonally, but in a straight line. And I was responding to your post about Lin playing well. Therefore, Freitas interested me less.
