I haven't quite dove deep enough into the 80s and 90s entries but from the ones I HAVE listened to I'd say my favorites are: Iceland: Husavík... But seriously, Iceland has so many amazing songs at Eurovision, but I'd have to give it to either Je ne sais quoi (2010) or Never Forget (2012) Lithuania: oddly enough none of Lithuania's songs really strike me as super special, but I do have to agree and say that I've Been Waiting for This Night (2016) is the most technically perfect of them all Norway: Yes, Fairytale is iconic, but it's gotta be either Attention (2020) or Ulveham (2024) for me. Slovenia: There are so many good songs from Slovenia, but No One (2011) is pretty much a cut above the rest. Israel: HaSheket SheNish'ar (2005) takes the cake for me easily.

I was here last time, and will be here every time😌 Here are my favorites! Iceland-Hatrið Mun Sigra(2019. This was an easy choice, 2019 is the only one I’d confidently put down as my top 10. 2020-2023 and 2009 all have the chance but 2019 is an easy one) Lithuania-Luktelk(2024. Lithuania’s national final in 2024 has at least three other songs I’d put in my top 15 if they’d made it to Eurovision and Luktelk is still leagues above the others.) Slovenia-Carpe Diem(2023. 2015 and 2019 seem interesting but since I haven’t seen them live, I can’t judge. 2023 Slovenia was my winner for a while) Norway-Fairytale(2009. Is my second favorite Eurovision song of all time, so there’s absolutely no contest here) Israel-A-Ba-Ni-Bi(1979. In recent times, the only Israeli song I’ve liked is 2022’s, so I has to dig into their history a little.) I’m a little biased toward recent years, since I started in 2023 and have only heard whatever I come across and the most common suspects (winners, top placements) from anything before 2021😅

Izhar Cohen really is an incredible vocalist, and the song is still a huge hit in Israeli weddings due to the quadruple clap (almost a decade before the "Friends" intro!). As for the background singer-dancer in green, her name is Tali and apparently Izhar forgave her for screwing up.
