I liked Peter Wright's 74 checkout in Melbourne with two darts in hand. D17-D20. First time I had seen that.

Melbourne Dart Masters. It was in the finals vs Taylor. 6th leg. Peter was on 81 and went for T19. The first dart drifted high and left into the thin single 7. 74 left. He went D17, tops to take out the leg. Don't know if he was under pressure from Taylor, I would need to go back and watch. Lunacy in my mind, but Wright goes for (and hits) these crazy checkouts.

T16 on 76 because if you miss high and hit single 8 you can go 18 bull, where as if you miss either side of the 20 you need a treble with the second dart. Also may just be preference for me but 16 to 14 switch is better than 20 to 4 switch.

70- t10 d20 bc 15 would leave 55, better than a 1 or a 4 which you can get from the t18 71- t13 d16 bc I would usually leave myself on five 72- t16 d12 or t12 d18 not t20 bc a 1 would mean you need to pick off a treble (2 darts d18 d18) 73- Under pressure t19 d8 not under pressure t11 d20 74- t14 d16 not t18 d10 bc a 1 would mean you need a treble 75- 3 darts in hand t17 d12 2 darts in hand 25 BULL 76- Under pressure t16 d14 bc a 7 or an 8 is much better than a 5 or a 1. Under no pressure t20 d8 or t12 d20 (2 darts under pressure d19 d19) 77- Under pressure t19 d10 under no pressure t15 d16 78- t18 d12 or possibly BULL d14 bc if your under a small amount of pressure and hit a 25, you can go at the 17 for d18 knowing a 3 would league the BULL 79- Under pressure t19 d11 under a bit of pressure t19 6 d8 under no pressure t13 d20

Something I do differently for 72 and 76 is if I only have 2 darts left and opponent is on a finish I throw D18,D18 and D19,D19. Because the double is bigger than the triple and a miss either way at the T or D you can’t finish, may as well throw at the bigger target.

Thx again for that superb video. I basically go the same ways like you. Well, I have another question my favourite Double is actually D16 but my darts are kicking up to the right a bit like Barney's darts do and when I throw one dart on the left, the bet is covered and I can only see less than half of the double 16. What should I do?
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
That's a tough one. I'm afraid I don't have an answer. Maybe just try stepping to the side so you can get a clean look at the segment?

70 - a guy told my friend at a tournament to go t18, i just dont see why with 1 and 4 next to it, has to be T10! 73 maybe t15? 76 has to be t16 right?? Its way better as you can miss up or down 78 d19? Bigger than t18 right

Am I the only one that goes T14 to leave D14 when 70 left? I prefer throw a 11 or 9 next to it, than a 15, 6, 1 or 4.

Hey, your comments don't show up for some reason so I can't reply. But I plan on doing the new videos soon. Few days.
Thanks for part 3! I really don't think there is anywhere on youtube a series of videos for checkouts like this, so this is very helpful for people too bored to learn an outchart! Quick question: I 've seen pros go D20-D20 with 80 left and two darts in hand. Would you recommend going D18-D18 with 72 left and two darts in hand (referring to the 75 outshot when you missed and hit the single 3)?
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
I think it's definitely an option to go double double depending on skill level. Going at top, tops with 80 left is very risky, even for the pro's. No sense in winging one off the board. I've seen a few successful attempts for Ando and a couple other players but I wouldn't recommend it to the non professional. Fun when it works though :)

Hey Worldwide, first of all thanks for another nice video and especially for pointing out the T16 option on 76 (just like the T9 on 67). But I keep asking myself why you would consider shots that purposely leave D10 good shots. You critisize D18 for breaking down badly (which it does, no question), but D10 just breaks down as badly as D18. Does it have to do with your affinity for Tops?
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked the video Philipp. Thanks for the comment. I make these videos unbiased as possible. Basically I'm passing along information that we see from top level professionals. They go certain routes because it gives them the most chances possible. You're getting one step ahead with comparing D18 to D10. I'm not telling anyone to leave D10, it just happens to be something you *might* shoot at with the 2nd dart. But yes, stepping to the board with D10 or D18 is virtually the same thing.
@Izboy1127 жыл бұрын
Even D14 is a second rate double. Come inside the D14 and then you've left D7. Not a good double.
