I would say T15 D8 is the best way to go on 61, as if you hit a single 15, you're left on 46, and the 6 and 10 are next to each other so it gives you more room for error

Thx for this super cool video. I am a big thinker when it comes to checkouts. 60: 20 D20, 61: 25 D18, 62: T10 D16, 63: T13 D12, 64: T8 D20, 65: 25 D20, 66: T14 D12, 67: T13 D14 or T9 D20 depends on the pressure, 68: T20 D4 or T16 D10 depends on the pressure, 69 : T11 D18 or T15 D12 depends on the pressure
@Izboy1126 жыл бұрын
T9 D20 is better on 67. T11 D18 is better on 69.

62 I go T14 for D10. Single leaves 48, where as if you hit a 10 leaves 52. 48 then gives you a bigger area to hit to leave a double (8 or 16), over 12 which is half the area.
@WorldwideDarts5 жыл бұрын
That's a very good argument to go 14's from 62.

Wow your tops hitting its damn good. I was gonna ask if you ever go 13, 18, D16 for 63 but seeing your tops accuracy you probably never go D16 a la james wade. 64 is my favorite low checkout to leave for reasons you mentioned, just aim in the general area and you can't go wrong
@Sylinde7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for part II. Good that you stressed the "where your opponent is at" part! Different situations call for different decisions, for example when you have outshots 61-69, two darts in hand and your opponent sitting on an easy double. Thanks again!
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
Cheers. It really does make a diiference where the opponent is. A lot of people seem to think out shots are carved in stone and you should go a certain way all the time. I'm trying my best to point out that it does make a huge difference if you're under pressure or not.

Worldwide, this is a great piece of learning for new, amateur players. In the last video you stated you were only going to do them until 100. Can I suggest that you keep going right through to 170. Break down those 100-150's to really show players all of their options and show them what to hit if they only hit a single when they are going for a triple to set themselves up for the best possible leave. Example: 132 takeout. Bull to start. Hit the red bit and either go triple 14 or for another redbit. If the miss the triple 14 this would leave 68. What should they aim for? I would suggest triple 16 to leave 20. If they hit a single they have 52 which is a favoured 2 dart combo.There are 2 other breakdowns I would add in as well.

The videos seem to be doing okay. I was going to play it by ear before I promise too many videos. I honestly wasn't sure if these sort of videos would be well received. I didn't mention it but I joined a gym recently and got back into lifting. The reason I was a day late on this video is because my shoulders/arms were so sore I couldn't throw darts for crap haha. Felt good this morning and was plucking off tops fairly well.
@braydongosee74027 жыл бұрын
Worldwide Darts I literally have a very similar story. Started hitting the gym and am definitely struggling at times to throw a dart. I only watch the videos to see how we differ in breaking down doubles these videos will probably never be a major hit for your channel but they are a great resource for beginners.

I've noticed a trend of professionals going for the bull first dart on 66. Any ideas why you would aim for the smallest target on the board to leave double 8, whereas the 25 leaves 41? IMO 14s and double 12 is the best option from 66 as 12s break down better than 18s. I'm curious for other people's thoughts on the bull route.
@d4ve193 жыл бұрын
Plenty of pros take sub optimal routes as it's just what they know. T14 on 66 is 100% the correct route, don't doubt yourself.
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
And yes, there are a few options I left out. But keep in mind, this is already an 11 minute video and I didn't want it to drag on too long. Plus it gets overwhelming to a new player learning their outs if there's too many choices on the table. So that's why I only covered the most popular routes. I forgot about T12 from 68. Also a good choice
@d4ve19 Жыл бұрын
You forgot T11 for 65 too, leave out some options yes, but T11 D16 is superior in every way to T19 D4 or T15 D10. Any miss on T11 will leave you less than 60 points left for an easy finish, if you go T19 you risk hitting 3 and leaving 62, T15 risks hitting 2 and leaving 63. And in any case, mathematically our goal should always be to get to D16, it's the safest double on the board for not busting and being able to halve down.
@finlayearnshaw72577 жыл бұрын
66 has to be T14 D12. Like you told me in the last video, D18 is a second rate double, and anyway hitting a 14 would leave 52 which is a simple 20 D16.
@WorldwideDarts7 жыл бұрын
T14 is fine. But S20 is a no no from 52. Why risk the bust when you don't have to? Unless opponent is WAY back

Some outshots that you didnt show us that are useful 61 - T11 D14 without pressure 62 - T18 D4 (Anderson way) 63 - 25 D19 if under pressure 66 - T14 D12 68 - T12 D16 or even D16 D18 or D18 D16 (same as tops-tops route for 80) 69 - T11 D18

Thanks for these nice videos. Do you think you could add annotations of the target numbers and preferred checkouts, e.g. have '61 -> T15 + D8' appear as you are explaining it?

Yes. I'll be adding graphics for the next video. I'll update these videos with annotations soon.
Yeah picking the mathematically correct route that wasn't even mentioned isn't a bad option 😉

T18 from 62 is a no no. Why risk throwing high into the 1 segment. It's the only segment on the board you wouldn't want to hit. No sense risking it

Its really smart WWD! 68 used to go 20 but u cant miss. T16 d10 cuz 8 leaves 60. Theres no target with two 8+ numberz around it. 69 hard one! T11 d18 maybe? T15 d12?
