Coming back to Darts after a little break of 30 years, I really enjoy trying different barrels and setups. I'm switching back and forth between straight barrels and slightly front loaded ones, recently leaning towards light and thin straight barrels with a decent grip, Bull's Mamba M6 in 21g being my current favourite. But of all the front loaded barrels I tried, the Bolide 03 in 22g is my favourite by far. Really a no brainer on throw and they fly beautifully for me

All of the Bolide darts are excellent and at a good price. Personally I gotta go with the 04’s as my personal favorite set. I also saw on Amazon the Swiss points listed for super cheap. Problem is I Refuse to use anything other than Swiss Storm points. I have massive ADD about the lip once I found your channnel.

Great review, definitely support you changing to your own set-up! Less variables for us to really compare as 99% of players do not use original set-ups!

One of the main reasons I like your reviews so much is you show what the darts could be instead of how they are stock setup. That to me is boring, I change everything as soon as I get them out of the package. Speaking of that, I’m getting my Axe 120 smalls by FedEx today, so excited to try them out right away. As far as the Bolides before you even said it I was thinking the 4 is by far my favorite.

These were my first Darts in 26gr with 35mm storm points and short k flex. Tried multiple sets after and always went back they are just amazing.

Target Swiss points are just unbeatable. I try and repoint my darts and it takes more than 10 minutes! My current darts have two speciality points and one point with a 180 nose cone on them because my dart point remover broke whilst I was changing points, I’d definitely prefer a simpler method.

i am intrigued by the slight "figurado cigar" shape, and long points as i throw a pin straight barrel with K-Flex standards and regular points. very tempting price at $30 US WW.

I seem to be erring towards wider barrels as well. I think a lot of my problem is release though I've thought that for a good few years. I was throwing Ryan Searle 32g darts earlier today as I've found a set of L Styler flights with just enough drag for me to control them. Up until then they've always flown for me and it's all too easy to punt them out of the board with too much height. Mostly I've been throwing 30g Caliber after you reviewed them and the same flights dragged those too much. It's weird how these things work.

Interesting that I'm gravitating to chunkier darts after finding some brass darts and throwing really well with them. I'm looking to move away from Mission Archon 6mm width to something that will reduce slippage.

I'm loving my 05s. I have the void, but same thing basically. Throwing 26g on mine, heavy but smooth throwing. Still finding my perfect dart... you sold me the darn exo 02! Lol. Already had the orange k flex, gold storms... they're nice!

Haha, it's to not like the EXO. I think my excitement about them really showed in the video. Some darts I just go through the paces and crank out a review. The EXO darts were amazing and I honestly enjoyed making that video. 👍🏻

I've tried these in the shop and I've had the exact problem of gripping on the smooth section. So from time to time they went all over the board. If it weren't for the smooth section, I would have added these to my collection.

Had mine about 6 months in black at 24 g . Put a gold storm 35 mm point on has really saved my flights . Nice dart and would prob say down to about level 2 grip now after use.

Hi, love the reviews you do, are these darts front loaded weight wise? How do they play compared to the 05? My worry with the 05 is they fill the bed with the thickness, but want to try a front loaded dart.

I tried them. Was the shape i prefer, like Taylor G6 but the smooth sektion was right in the way, like you mention it. But otherwise its a great set of barrels.

You made a video quite awhile ago that was I think 5 dart sets you should have. After watching that video I bought a set of Bolide Darts. I think they are the 03 model but I am not sure. Long story short I really like them and have had pretty good luck throwing them. Another good recommendation WW. Thanks. I think I will try a set of the 04 model next.

Can't go wrong with any of the Bolide's. You should also check out the Target EXO or even the Target Crux. Double Top Darts is now carrying Target Japan darts too. They have the Crux Japan series which are awesome!

I have the aspinall gen 1s and really like them, however i wanted some swiss pointed darts and it was between these and asp gen 2. I ended up going for asp gen 2. Have i made a mistake spending much more on the asp darts? And will having longer points help my progression? -65 avg player

It's awesome when you catch darts on sale like the darts of the month at Double Tops. It allows you to try different things without breaking the bank. I have a Legend review coming soon with a barrel shape very similar to this one and the grip is almost perfect. No smooth section either. Longer points might help. Quite a few top pro players seem to be using them. It's always worth it to experiment around and try different things.

I just ordered a set of target bolide 05 with some spair sets of 40mm swiss points, really curious about them as it is my first bomber barrel + my first set of target darts, love the darts review video's keep it up!

@@sonaldo_7-r4r i had them and back then i hold the dart in the middle and it wasnt grippy enough for me. Now i changed my grip to the end of the dart almost the shaft so idk how the grip will be there! But the bolide darts are awesome you will love them for sure!

Great review as always! Like the 03s myself unfortunately hate Swiss points lol I don't know why but I always seem to break a least one a week. If the replacements wernt so much money I'd stick with em lol Great review as always Boom 🎯

From everything I've seen I have a theory... I think some people are more prone to breaking them for some reason. I think it's how they yank them out of the board. Some people grab the darts and tend to pull down on them as they're removing them. Over time it weakens the point and welcome to snap city! Other people literally never break them or will only break them on some freak bounce out. I've never broken a Swiss point ever.

I've seen some Asian players using metal cuffs on their points instead of a specialty points/tridents. Not sure where to obtain them, but it's definitely something that's out there.

Watch out for the target Swiss points 35mm nano grip they break easy. I broke 7 points in 2 months, all the same points. Target is not doing anything about this sorry this could happen. What is your experience with the Swiss points?

I might do a video on this next week. Honestly I believe it's operator error. If the points sucked then EVERYONE would be breaking them. But it's only certain players that are breaking them. Just a guess here but when you retrieve your darts you're probably pulling downwards on them. Sort of how James Wade does. Imo this weakens the points over time and causes them to break. Pull your darts straight out of the board.
