Great video - we are thinking about going to Olympos in late November and I hope we get as good as weather as you did

We were also there around that time (maybe mid-November). The weather is pretty variable then but still some amazing sunny days 😉 enjoy!!

Love your videos! It is helping me plan our trip , can i check what are the various transportation modes you used in each of the location in Turkey please? Thanks!!
@worldwildhearts Жыл бұрын
Thank you! there are many public buses that you can take (especially between the bigger cities - and not so expensive). Within the places, you can walk / take a taxi (also pretty cheap) / or the public bus or tram (though every place uses a different system). We had a rental car for most of our time in Turkey though because it's quite affordable and the roads are very well-maintained! enjoy!!

Hey! Thank you for your video, it is helping us to plan our trip. How did you move around the national park? Are there public buses?? Thank you!
@worldwildhearts Жыл бұрын
there weren't any public buses... we had a rental car to move around! It might be the easiest as some places are hard to get to by public transportation!

Great video with beautiful sights and useful infos! I have never been there, would like to go and enjoy some wild beach, directly SOUTH of that flat sandy Olympos beach, i.e. where these Olympos Ruins, which you mentioned as the best attraction, meet the sea. Do you remember if it was possible (have you seen some nice small secluded beaches there or is it just very steep cliffs whole way round) and are there SOME kind of small roads/paths (through Olympos Ruins)? Thanks!
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a very nice beach right at the bottom of the ruins! It is small, secluded, and very beautiful. A peaceful place for relaxing and enjoying nature. There is a path that goes all the way from the beach and up through the ruins. At the top of that path is where you will find the treehouses we stayed in and there are also some great restaurants there, including vegetarian options.

@@worldwildhearts Ok, thanks for such quick answer♥️! I was looking the map again, that headland (rocky, with wood like jungle) where the Ruins are, just south from the end of Olympos Beach, looks "first" to the North (to Olympos Beach) and also to the East. If I got you right, one can walk from that accomodation where you stayed, almost exactly West to East (through that forest and rocks) and come to the eastern shore of that headland, where that beach is situated. Well, even if I speculated wrong, it's important that there is such a beach somewhere there, I will found it. Thank a lot for that info, stay strong!

Thanks the boat ride look good, hoe long was the hike to get to the boat, and is it easy to get there , I plan to vist with 3 kid age 1/8/12
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
It’s fairly easy! The path is wide and elevation is not much. It was probably about 2 kms to reach the end where the boats are!

Hey ! Great video. Thank you for putting it together? We are thinking exploring this area in early November. What were the temperatures like during your visit? Did you swim in the sea? Is sunbathing / swimming still possibility at that time of year?
@worldwildhearts2 жыл бұрын
We were in Turkey from mid-October until the end of December. I think Olympos was around mid-November and we had a great time there. It was a bit too cold to swim for us, but it was still sunny out. Every year is different though. I remember afterwards we went to Kas and we swam there on one day when it was 26°C. The weather really changed for us at the beginning of December and we had lots of rainy and stromy days.
