He did one 8 years ago, because both the Democrats and Republicans were still picking their candidates. So yes, more of a primary thing. This year though it's just Biden v Trump, again. If ever there was a year that a third option could be viable, it would be this year. Because I don't think either side likes their candidate at all except for the extremists. I think it's safe to say over half the population is going to vote for their side not because they like their candidate, but because they can't stand the other. Thankfully no matter which happens, in 4 years it will be a clean slate and neither of them will be on the ballot, and once again both sides will have contested primaries and we can have another US Worms Election Special.

To repeat something I said in a previous year, worms is better at predicting modern politics than political analysis for 2 reasons. #1 in worms, collateral damage and friendly fire are completely acceptable. This more accurately models how modern candidates act. #2 Jon includes the population as a target, adding in the modern impact of populist, nationalist and austerity policies. Edit after watching, love it as always, I’m going to guess that this is foretelling that the election is more close than polls indicate, and the SNP and lib dems somehow end up in a coalition opposition or something insane.

Spoiler American interpretation: Scottish sentiment may grow against the UK government, Lib Dems make strong gains, Farage who??? and Labor wins over Tory is what I've gathered. Since there’s some discussion in the thread here: Having voted for Scottish Independence I’ve accepted it’s off the table for as long as Labour are in charge. It’s being stuck with a Tory government we didn’t vote for that pushes going independent. Also Brexit has snookered an independent Scotland as being in or out of the EU poses massive challenges, us being separate EU members would’ve been much smoother. The SNP also are just not in good enough shape to win it, I’m hoping them losing most of their Westminster seats (which really doesn’t make much difference) makes them get their act together for the Scottish elections

Elderliness? That conspiracy isn't even that old lol. You make it sound like someone in their 60s would get it but that's more of a reference gens X and Y would both understand with maybe some zoomers running across it too. Despite my fellow millennials complaining about turning to dust everytime the passage of time is mentioned they can't be considered elderly. And yeah, I think the majority of Jon's audience falls into the gen x, millennial range. If people don't get it it has nothing to do with age and more about what they interact with on the internet. Also for anyone wondering, because I hate when people keep a joke to themselves for absolutely no reason and then talk about how no one gets the reference, it is a reference to a conspiracy that says Avri Lavigne was replaced by a clone/body double named Melissa.

So, here's what I made from the data, in part inspired by the exitpoll as well. 1. The Tories lose. Badly. 9 years of Brexit and scandals decimated the old party. 2. Labour will have a comfortable lead, but the promised chance in course will not bring about what their voters wished for. 3. Reform are not as dominant as they would have preferred, instead getting walloped into a relative poor seat result by Labour and LibDems 4. Speaking of which, the LibDems are the surprise winners after Labour and end up with a magnificent amount of seats for their size, multiplying their seats by a good ten times perhaps. And finally, 5. SNP. Yeah, I got nothing. Worms: Armageddon might actually have made a mistake. Still, 4 out of 5 points seem to be spot on, which is more than one can say of most polls out there.

Hi I have 2 Idea for SNP, but keep in mind, I don't know a lot about UK parliment and élection (i'm québecois/Canadian). 1. Maybe the result Will be a Minority government where the SNP is on 3rd place, so that mean they get the real power, because the other parties need them to pass their Bill. 2. If I understood well and SNP is like our Bloc Québécois, that would probably mean independance for Scotland. In any case, it will be interesting to see how it will turn out.
@the_tactician9858
@the_tactician9858 3 күн бұрын
@@hahym6337 Both options are not likely. A few years ago they were very popular in Scotland, and they then made a referendum on leaving the UK, but that referendum ended in a 'remain' choice. Now they lost most of their seats, they have 8 left from about 60 back in 2016.

@@the_tactician9858 I've juste check and labours is winning by a large margin (400 +) and SNP are at 9, maybe 10 when the last count is done. But we need to see also what happening internationally. Here in Québec, the Partie Québécois (PQ), our independance party is going strong. We have a provincial élection in about 2 years and if they have the majority government, a new referendum will happen. I believe, sadly, it won't go through, but if it pass, maybe that will ignate the flamme of Scotland indépendance.
