nice vid! Guess we find out in a few days how it will work out. Unrelated question: where do you buy your bulk food for your worm chow? I think you said Tractor Supply?
@northeastworms2 жыл бұрын
Tractor supply for the pulverized limestone and alphalpha, the rest from a wholesale food distribution center

@northeastworms2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes is episode 1 of the specific food. Onions/1 - Chicken/1 mandarin/2. On the weekly update I will write onions/2 .... in effect can be a little confusing. Thank you very much for taking this to my attention

My opinion is that if there is no other food in the bin, the worms will slowly pick away at the onions once the onions have begun to break down and some of the sulfur or much of the sulfur has been released. Sulfur is what typically deters worms from onions. Shallots are more palatable to them and they will eat shallots readily. Red onions contain the highest amount of sulfur, yellow onions the second highest and Vidalia sweet onions contain the least amount of sulfur. Many other worm bin helpers are going to start the breakdown of those onions and eventually make it where they are appetizing to the worms I'm sure.
