I had played a demo before the very first one came out and I wanted to know if they would release the game in the USA (British company) and when that would be. They hand wrote me back. Okay so real talk - hijacking my comment from before, but this game is on sale for 2.50 in the Steam sale. That's a steal right there - game name is Worms Ultimate Mayhem This game was my childhood, so I wanted to share it on the channel! I've played other games in the series, but I spent the most time with the 3D games. The Ultimate Mayhem pack is like a combination of the old Worms 3D and Worms 4 Mayhem Games - it's pretty great!

I thought WUM was just a straight spit-polish and rerelease of W4M. DID they actually pack in any features of Worms 3D? ...What did it even have that Worms 4 didn't, besides the map generator? On that note I'd also like to give a rundown of the other games maybe worth getting from the sale. - *Worms Armageddon* - hella cheap, still probably the best 2D game. Has been patched with a glut of extra customization options and good stability on modern systems. Still has a small but dedicated community. You can't go wrong with it, it's the _Melee_ of the Worms series. - *Worms Clan Wars* - also pretty cheap, best of the 2.5D games. Was half-broken on launch and not enough of an improvement over Worms Revolution for people to pay attention to it. Never found its playerbase, so the titular clan wars function was and is DOA, but I think it has the biggest weapons roster of anything post-Armageddon. No playerbase though, and it doesn't fix the fact that the engine they used for the 2.5D games is the jankiest one. - *Worms WMD* - pricier, but probably the best 2D game since Armageddon. Vehicles and buildings add an interesting dynamic, the landscapes are _gorgeous,_ and the ninja rope actually sort of works again. Has a somewhat cumbersome in-game weapon crafting system that nevertheless produces some interesting results. Much better than reviews would indicate IMO, but also has no playerbase left. I think the lesson to be learned here is that you always want to have enough people assembled in advance to play a Worms game, because you're not usually going to have much joy in matchmaking.

I loved Worms 4 Mayhem when I was younger. But later I've noticed the problem that 2D worms do not have. Terrain isn't an obstacle anymore. There's less incentive to learn Bazooka and Grenade throwing, because firing in 3D space is more convoluted and you can still walk around the mountain, which is easier to do. I've played with my friend 1v1 and we were mimicking the same "best damage dealt" available, pulling barrels and blowing them up with a Dynamite. It was boring as hell years later. Nevertheless, I had a great time back in the day with it when I was playing with more people. And this video just brought me back into these times. Thanks lad.

Worms 4 mayhem is waaaayyyy underrated. For me is the best worms game and one of my favorite games i have ever played. Worms 4 mayhem has a lot of weapons and customization, content and replay value (with the shop and multiplayer modes), the best level design in the series, graphics amazing for its time (the water looks good even today for example), and the only one with story. A lot of people say that Worms Armageddon is the best, but i disagree for the reasons stated above. Is there anyone else who agrees with everything I said? ;) Pd: For me, it deserves a score of 8,5/10

The developers know that the end of the turn is in X seconds, so they don't need to burden the game engine for creating more water. Instead they decided that the end of the world is always reached in X seconds. That's because water is more resource expensive to display when compared to the sky

KyeChimera ultimate mayhem actually has a useful suicide bomb unlike every other worms game and the create your own weapon feature is cool and the inflateable schooner is cool

I absolutely adore this game. 3D was my first Worms game and this game has the entire campaign from that as an unlockable, with the updated customization, visuals and mechanics. That and another new game on top of it. I just wish the randomly generated maps had more types to choose from.
