Here, it's impossible to have male friends and I miss that. I have a few male friends, but most people here feel men and women cannot be friends, only romantic relationships, and people are very jealous and controlling of their partners' relationships' with people of the opposite gender. I don't ascribe to that and it opens people up for gender based viol3nce. So,I think you will find there are many different countries that have different ideas. Perhaps you met all the crazy jealous Americans when you were there. Who knows. I know that jealous people are lots of places. Central America and the Caribbean, where I live, does tend to have a higher level of machismo than North America. Those are the only countries that I've lived and worked in, so they're the only ones in which I have personal experience to compare.

There are athetists who become "born again" and then go back to atheism. The point of 'born again' is that you have seen/ witnessed/ became some would say 'sought' by God in order to become a creation higher than you were initially. Much like those who were initially baptist as a child may not have the same views on Christianity as they do alter on as an adult, although they do not have to be baptised again. The network is trash. They purposely choose the most awkward, abusive, and disturbing couples for the ratings, and throw in a few couples that are more solid, to give the impression that they are not the ones choosing to include these couples and then even instigating the problems. They had the power to cancel Angela years ago when it was obvious she was abusive and controlling with Michael, but they wanted the ratings and let her do whatever she wanted. With this man being blind, I so hope they don't allow ongoing verbal abuse. He may be an adult, but unlike Michael, he has a real disability and may feel his options are limited, and more importantly they are in some ways, and it would be on them, in my mind, if something happened to him because they didn't stop it because views are more important to them than people's safety.

I can agree that as Americans, we tend to have a short fuse. However, I think TLC handpicks these types of people for entertainment. It's been said before, but if Angela was a man & Michael was a woman, they *probably* wouldn't have kept her til the very end. It is TLC though so who knows, lol. Not to say there hasn't been anyone else on the show with an explosive temper from another country (you know who I'm talking about)...but it's easier to find an American who is used to their comfort be a lot shorter temperment-wise with almost any other Non-American for entertainment purposes.
