Nice to see you enjoying my mod! It is unfinished but there are still a few systems to mess around with. When animals are infected, they will stay disguised as the animal they used to be. In the current release it's too easy for them to become an aggressive variant and they spread way too fast but in the next update they will prefer to stay disguised for longer - after it has landed in your world, you won't know whether your animals are normal or alien imitations. The gore blocks don't grow (yet), they are created when any mob from the mod is killed and if they aren't broken they will reform into blood crawlers. It's worth noting every mob takes a maximum of 1 damage per hit unless on fire and they regenerate over time so you need to set them on fire to do significant damage. Once they're on fire they can take normal damage from other weapons too. Blair Things don't grow, their size depends on how many mobs fused together to create them. Same applies to Beasts too, they're created when a quadruped absorbs other mobs whereas Blair Things are created when a humanoid absorbs other mobs. The next update, 1.1.1, will just be small improvements and a forge port. The update after that, 1.2.0, will add a lot more - underground infestations, the first boss in the mod (with unique loot), improvements to the gore system to make it function more like a plant that can grow, and more.

@@Iknowhowbadthisnameis8828 Not in the main experience since it's meant to be a difficult mod about surviving, not a power fantasy where you get to play as the dangerous alien, however I may add it as an alternative game mode

They are meant to be weaker than parasites because it's balanced around vanilla survival mode but they take a maximum of 1 damage from most damage sources unless they're on fire and their assimilation system is much more efficient Who would win depends entirely on whether parasites would be assimilable
