I said it a year ago when the singles started to be released. I'm 67 I've been rocking since the Beatles started. This album is in the same league as Sgt Pepper and Dark Side of the Moon. It will be remembered decades from now. Not only are the lyrics and music a total masterpiece work of art, so is the production. This is flawless. Worship.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Their music doesn’t just trigger emotions, it triggers subconscious memories. Like you said, it takes you on a journey if you let it. It takes you to a place you may think about very often or hardly at all and sometimes both. Very powerful music and loved hearing your thoughts. Cheers

Thank you very much for your comment. Sleep Token is one of the few bands that you need to just listen to without trying to analyze it the first time. I feel music when I listen to it, and Sleep Token is one of the deepest feeling bands I've ever experienced. Hope that makes sense.

People forget music is art and it supposed to make us feel. This band makes me feel so deeply and soooo many things. I’ve listened to the entire catalogue from beginning to end and I can’t tell you how good that experience was for myself. ST is on repeat from beginning to end all songs on a daily. Im a genx and im completely obsessed.

Yes, completely. Lose sight of the divisions and experience it from the core. People try to follow it and make sense out of it. Too much thought. Experience is visceral - thought is to take apart. I guess I had been sleeping on ST. I've only learned of them a week ago. They have made my list of songs that I listen to when I crave sounds that make you feel without anything other than emotion. As a fellow Gen Xer, they measure up with a lot of the greats of our past that make that list....

Thank you! I see a tendency for people to try to "make sense" of things, but very seldom do they try to just experience things. I believe it was Sir Edmund Mallory, the first European to scale Mt. Everest, that when asked about why he did it, responded with "Because it's there." If people could understand that, they might be happier in life. Peace.

If you listen to ST in the album order it's even better. If you listen from the beginning of the discography to the end it's phenomenal.

I'm starting to feel that more and more the increasing granularity of genres and the multitude of sub-genres are just more gatekeeping. I think genres should be retired. I get that they were useful when you had your hard-earned money to put up for an album that you might have not been able to hear first... but with the advent of streaming services, It's an all-you can eat buffet. Sleep Token still makes me go "My god, how good are these guys?!??!?!?" even on the 20th listen. I am getting to see them at a festival show in April. I cannot wait!

Sleep token is one of three artists/groups that I am planning on doing this with. It will probably be a fairly long process that starts back at the beginning and works its way forward. I will more than likely be doing just pieces of music they have videos or visualizers for. But from what I have seen, that still seems like quite a bit of experience to be had.
