Hay Dalton, I’m 57 years old so I’m a 80s kinda guy. Regardless I love the ratty cars your working on the holy goat and the rolled runner. The eagle would get some attention from me but way backseat. I love that you are a champion to the hopeless cause. That is your jam. The fact you bring your son along is awesome. Anyway I have one request…. The Road Runner was made to hold a pistol grip. To put a automatic in it is sacrilegious if it is a black canvas. A four speed is not optional on this project. Love everything you are doing. A fellow hacker

I’ve said it before and after all my time on this planet, pretty don’t always work, ugly usually always works, as a shade tree driveway expert of sorts I tip my hat to you sir. My son and I love your content and he says he now understands it doesn’t matter what it looks like or what anyone thinks as long as you’re satisfied with the fact it functions, he no longer questions my work after seeing it’s not just me😂. Now he just asks, “will it work “? I respond “I think so”, he responds “let’s try it, if it does…send it”! Thank you for making realistic content brother, keep it coming!!!!

Your build videos are a lot of fun and I really appreciate how you try to maintain a realistic budget while including all the nitty gritty details of stuff that throws you for a loop and slows ya down. I have been there and its very relatable, its easy to hit a couple hiccups and just decide to try the parts cannon but making what you have work is a very satisfying challenge.

We're not worthy. We're not worthy. 🤣Love watching you thrash around man, inspires me when I go out and hammer on mine. Really. Speaking of brakes... about ten years ago wandering the local indoor flea market and spied an old metal case for an antique Bernzomatic propane torch set. Price was only a few bucks and thought I could use it to stash odd tools in at the shop. But when I grabbed it off the table I almost dropped it, it was heavy as lead and I found out it was full of old drum brake tools. I'm sure whoever was selling it had NO idea what they were. I ended up with the deal of a lifetime right there.

Good job, that came out pretty nice! I have a couple of the old style flaring tools. US made ones. I never used that NiCopp line but have been wanting to try it. I have a couple lines that I need to change on my wagon that rotted out where they were bolted to the frame. GM B body under MC before the Prop. valve. I bought some SS prebent lines from Fine Lines and the guy there was not big on the NiCopp. I would get the Poly Armour coated line over the Galvan coated. That plain steel Galvan rots QUICK. Very thin coating compared to old days. I usually use a big socket to make those loops in the line.

Mate - your application of the persuader (ie: large mallet, forged steel pry bar) reminds me of my own efforts to attend to recalcitrant brake drums. It seems that sometimes they just don't want to play the game, so they need to be taught.....and then it eventually becomes a case of "you or me, pal, and I don't give up" and it's the drum's decision whether it comes off in one piece or many. If they break, they needed replacing anyway, so what the heck..... I've also done the 'race tape padding on the steering wheel' effort too......but I will warn you. When that sucker sits out in the heat of the day, the goo that holds the tape in place melts and one of two things happens. Either it leaks out from underneath the joins and your hands get stuck to anything they touch (both when driving and after you get out the car) or you go to turn the wheel and the steering wheel feels like its alive because one layer is slipping over the top of another and the wheels aren't changing direction much.....and then the 'black goo on the hands thing' happens as well just to top your day off. I went and spent $5 on AliExpress or Wish (I forget which) and bought me a steering wheel cover that I could sew in place nice and tight over the padded layer. I don't have sticky hands after driving the car any more (which saves awkward explanations) and it has a better look and feel too.

A little tip... you don't need to crank down the brake line flare tool clamp.. it just needs to snug onto the line.. if you go to tight you dig into the line and then the fitting won't slide to the end thst you flared. 😊
