The only reason resale values matter is if you're planning to flip the car. If you're keeping it long-term it doesn't matter because it won't be worth anything when you get rid of it.

Lexus LX seems to hold its value pretty well. 🤔 But comparing Lexus to Jeep is like comparing a diamond to cow dung.

I’d also add any luxury cars will take massive depreciation hits during a recession.

People who buy luxury cars are usually people who don't care about depreciation(or, in theory, they shouldn't care).

Fiat trying to entice people into buying by using pop culture reminds me of back in the 50’s and mainly 60’s when American car manufacturers would use models like California Special or High Country Special to attract regional sales.

They still do that. Or did until Covid starved out supply enough to make marketing unnecessary for a while. There were Northwoods editions of the F150 sold in Minnesota quite recently.

*"BECAUSE I'M USING DEBT!"* stressful indeed...and... *WHOLLY UNSURPRISING.* Only went into debt once to buy a vehicle and felt *DAMN GOOD* when i paid that off *WITH INTEREST* to the Bank. 20 Years of okay work but never made any money with it quite the opposite so was glad to give it away for a few hundred bucks. *"only thing that works with this purchase will be me!"* problem although a House is *WAAAAAAAAAY* worse yes good points here absolutely.

I have a Volvo c30 base model that I upgraded to have leather seats in a polestar engine optimization. Thinking of upgrading to a bmw m2. Any car buying advice?

BMW is an ok idea so long as you are leasing it, or you own it only while it’s still under warranty
