I don't think a lot of people appreciate just how much effort and work goes into the filming of this. It's one thing to do a job, and it's another to do the entire job in a professional, timely manner while getting footage from several cameras, then managing to make it seem seamless after hours and hours of editing. Kudos to their team.
@gregscott44792 жыл бұрын
Bruh, how hard is it for you to take on one more task of holding something? It's really not that big of deal, the editing is where the hours come in of sitting and watching footage(hopefully it's categorized efficiently) but to film is easy... There are teams in place and not really anyone taking on much more than what they're already asked to.

@@warrendon1388 Warren, I've been thinking about writing a page for MORR on Wikitubia because no one has yet. So more people can get accurate information when they do Google searches. What are your thoughts? Would you be willing to contribute?
@warrendon13882 жыл бұрын
@@JohnFLHi John. I'd be happy to help you out. I'd need to know that Matt is comfortable with the concept. Please let me know what kind of contributions you have in mind. What is the best way that we can exchange email addresses without the world knowing?
@JohnFL2 жыл бұрын
@@warrendon1388 Good thought, I sent Matt an email a while back about creating a WordPress site but he never responded. Jefe is in charge of that email so maybe Matt didn't get it. Anyway, I asked him in the comments. I know of a rather roundabout method that doesn't involve Facebook. I'll post an invite link to a Google photos album and you can join it. From there I'll invite you to another one (Google will send it by email) and we can exchange information in private.

WHYYYYYY do people keep buying trucks for towing that only have 2WD?!? And then drive in conditions like these no less?!?!? What Matt didn't say out loud, I second that very much...

Well if it never left the pavement I wouldn't blink. But that road would be sketch without the trailer in that Nissan.

I’m shocked that those rear bumpers held up. A lot of camper bumpers are labeled to avoid ANY extra weight on them.

All these people who are getting stuck in these *cough* off road vehicles, all I can say is, "TIRES TIRES TIRES TIRES"......the majority of these situations would nevre have been an issue with the right tires for the area being travelled. Your four wheel drive is not at all what Matts Banana or Moorvair is. Great job Matt with all that you do, and especially your attitude. Truly a professional.

Amazing recovery on the trucks and traillers... I would not have held back on the guy with only rear wheel drive .. I mean "what could possibly go wrong?". Nice video editing on the rattlesnake recovery with the music and cut transitions.. that was brillant! kudos to the editors on that (please do more of that!). Love watching your videos ... I've learned so much on what to do and what not to do (probably more important!)

Just catching up on a few weeks of missed MORR videos. We had a good blast of Winter weather blow through the Southern Ontario region last night (just what everyone wanted for a Friday night commute, lol!). I stopped & helped a few people out of ditches & drifts on my way home, and after seeing Tom's front wheel work in the first half of this video, vs some of the front wheel direction on that GC at the end, really reinforces that there are a great deal of people that have no connection to where their steering wheel is, to where their wheels are pointed (or were pointed before). I tried telling this one guy many times, to keeps his wheels pointed towards the ditch (just like Matt has taught so many of us) so when i pull him back, his front will drive up onto the road. Nope, he kept turning them towards the road, driving him farther into the deep ditch full of snow. Oh well, it just made the view in front of me that more entertaining to watch, LOL! Thanks to Matt & the MORR crew, for helping to educate those of us who thought we knew enough about recovering vehicles - enough to be dangerous sometimes. Personally, i'd have never considered modern, aluminum, suspension components as a recovery point - even for something as soft as a snowy ditch recovery.

Maybe you guys should look into mounting a front receiver on the banana and morvair. It wouldn't see a lot of use, but scenarios when you have to push a trailer it can give you significantly more control over a trailer.
@aljosaskrabelj84122 жыл бұрын
Well...old banana had that. Looks like it was not usefull enough to keep it.

I have a front receiver on my 4x4 for exactly the same reason, makes moving big trailers around so much easier.

Facts Tom Tom, like no crap they're tired it's called work. If they look tired, they probably is and don't need anyone telling them what they "look" tired. If anyone had someone tell them they look tired, knows how if feels. Therefore probably never been told bc they really never done any work to be tired 🤔
@mhdsfsyukhtjyrghetuk2 жыл бұрын
Exactly most of those ppl be like "oh you look tired you should really sleep more" as if you can just go take a nap or sleep 8 to 10 hours a night. There's alot of us out there that a good night's sleep well working is 6 hours that's a real good nights sleep. Alot of ppl get less then 6 hours of sleep a night. I'm a fishermen when we're in the fishing season most nights is 4 hours sleep with a good many night less then that. Not everyone has time to just sleep because they are tired, there's work to be done.

Tom sure did a great job backing those trailers up, that's not easy to do, especially without wider mirrors on the tow vehicles. But I was cringing the whole time for the Grand Cherokee - I guess the owner didn't know that on that vehicle the air dam can be removed in about 30 seconds, with 5 quarter-turn finger-knob fasteners. In the end it didn't look like it got damaged any more than it was at the beginning, so all's well that ends well, I guess.
