yeah that's the thing, they had a lot of ambitious ideas but because it was tied to a movie license they simply didn't have the time (it still came out like a year late) or resources to implement all of them well which ultimately lead to the game demise, they bit off more than they could chew

I have played the game back in the days ....... I gave up after 5 missions or so , the game is too hard and complicate . You must often restart because of the time or you have choose the wrong hero . You can not complete the game if you just want to play as Batman because he can not jump high or glide far like Robin , but Robin got not the same skill that is needed that Batman got .

This was nowhere near the worst game ever. It was difficult AF and it had questionable design choices (probably due to being too ambitious for the PS1) but the game was ultimately ahead of its time. Even though I never completed it as a kid I still remember it fondly because of how much it stood out compared to other PS1 games

I'm also curious about what version of PCSX2 they use to play PS2 games. Are they still using 1.4.0 or 1.6.0? I would like them to use a recent Dev build with AVX2 (if their CPU supports it) and QT since that has advanced features like auto-update and per-game configurations.

This game fascinates me. Its terrible and amazing at the same time. I bought it for $2 at gamestop years ago. I know that there are some slightly random elements, like what the next stage will be, they sometimes go out of order, so finding clues is important. But for the life of me I could NEVER figure out the gadgets. What's that meter? Blue is gadgets, right? Like the rebreather and stuff. But then why does it turn yellow sometimes? It's like a "super" one use thing. Then theres the red dots which sometimes heal you? None of it makes any sense to me. But it makes just enough sense that it keeps me wondering how it all actually works. Open world. Slightly random levels. This game could have been great. Its Arkham-esque. Would love to see someone fix this, flesh it out a bit, and make it playable.

For me are the biggest problems : - you must switch often between dectetive and combat mode - the time is very limited , you must know the way perfectly - you must reload the game because not every hero can complete every mission
