I recently played this a couple of years ago. I thought the game was okay, for the most part. I mainly only enjoyed the Nightcrawler levels because they seemed the most thought out. Platforming, a little bit of stealth, collectibles, and decent combat once you get the hang of it.

Being that this was developed by Z-Axis, who made phenomenal hits (such as BMX XXX and Fox Sports College Hoops '99), I wasn't exactly having high hopes for X-Men The Official Game. To my complete surprise (not really) it was mediocre BUT I do have to give credit to Z-Axis with the handling of Nightcrawler and his stages as those were without a doubt the best stages in the game as they were legit well done and it was just fun as hell "BAMFING!" all over the place.

I played the GBA port as a kid and it was my first introduction to superheroes. I have since become a huge comic book nerd and specifically love the X-men, so it's funny to see how much everyone hates these games (I also had the DS port and can confirm that version was pretty trash)

Also, I still say Logan's the coolest member of the X-Men, but that's just my opinion, though, if you think either Jubilee or a Vampire Toddler(who's name I don't know, because I don't read the comics, sorry), but I do still like, and respect how a very long standing universe of comics can keep people talking, for decades, and keep people interested for years and years, and create their own universe that people will STILL be talking about, for years to come. So, Jubilee had a vampire child who is a fan of Blade? I can't blame him, Blade's pretty cool. But even then, I'm still siding with Logan, as the best member of the X-Men. But; Gambit is still a close 2nd place for me. Because he's Gambit, mainly because of the X-Men cartoon from the 90s And me choosing Logan as my favorite member of the team, wasn't easy, believe me, especially when you have other members like Nightcrawler, Iceman; and Quicksilver, (the son of Magneto, and coolest character from the 2003 sequel to the 90s X-Men cartoon, X-Men: Evolution).

I like x-men movies and i rember a xbox360 game named x-men something where you chose one of 3 characters who had their own abilities and could get abilities from the x-guys from things you pick up and if you get like 3 or 4 of the same persons abilities you get their suit or something. Do you mean X-Men: Destiny? Also, I loved the movies too; especially "First Class", and even "Apocalypse". But especially "Logan", and definitely the original X-Men Movie Trilogy, in my opinion, "Dark Phoenix" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", were the only really "bad" X-Men movies, that I've ever seen. But, I also really liked "The Wolverine" too.

No, clearly, they meant NightCrawler, (but also, yeah, Young Magneto, from First Class) (with James McAvoy; who's Young Charles Xavier) and Toad, the green frightening frog guy who I think is played by Ray Park, the guy from that really bad Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu movie, "Ballistic: Eeks Vs. Several Hours Of Boring The Audience", or something like that? I think they may have changed the name in other countries or something. Don't know; never seen it. But, I have seen some of the other X-Men movies, and they're all pretty good, except for "Dark Phoenix", and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", (in my opinion). But "X-Men Apocalypse", the original X-Men Movie Trilogy(X-Men The Movie, X-2, and X-3: The Last Stand), "X-Men First Class"(even though the class in that movie weren't actually of Professor Xavier's original class in the comics),(apparently), they made a fine First Class to me, I also loved both "The Wolverine", and, of course, "Logan", but come on, how could anyone NOT love that movie? Because Wolverine has always been my favorite member of the X-Men, next to Gambit, IceMan; Quicksilver, NightCrawler, Professor X, Beast, Colossus, Rogue, Cyclops(yeah; I actually like Scott Summers/Cyclops), Storm, Kitty Pryde,(she could touch physical things and make them invisible for as long as she could hold them, I think), and Jean Grey/The Phoenix(not Phoenix Wright, the Ace Attorney). Sorry if this went on too long. But when I start talking about the X-Men, I almost can't stop. Sorry, ma'am.

@@gracekim1998 Sure, no problem; you're welcome. It took me awhile to remember the actor's names myself; honestly. Their names don't always come off naturally to everyone anyways, which is sort of a shame; because both Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy are really good, like REALLY good as Young Magneto and Young Professor X, they were the EXACT perfect casting choices. Anyway, the guy who played Young Charles Xavier is James McAvoy, and the guy who played Young Magneto is Michael Fassbender, who was also in the Assassin's Creed movie, (which I always forget, was a thing). That's ok though; honestly, as much as I love the X-Men franchise, I started with the 90s cartoon, and then X-Men: Evolution, in the early 2000's, I've never read the comics, because, I don't know which series is worth following; and I don't know where to start, but I do like the movie's and the characters though. Oh; and also, I haven't seen Logan all the way through myself, actually...only saw it twice; on TV, and forgot it was on, I even missed the conclusion of the movie. And Dark Phoenix, I think it confused everyone who saw it, so you're not alone there. A confused butchering of the Dark Phoenix Saga, butchered twice now(apparently), by both Dark Phoenix, and X-3: The Last Stand, but I don't hate The Last Stand, because it's not a terrible movie(in my opinion). Just not as well done as when the 90s X-Men cartoon did the Dark Phoenix arc. And if the kid's show version of possibly the darkest and most tragic story in it's history, is the definitive version, over even the 2 movies that tried to do it, but failed, that means that you got to try harder, or maybe just try adapting a different X-Men story to the big screen next time. I almost thought about seeing Dark Phoenix in theaters, but after seeing reviews, I wasn't motivated to; I couldn't believe my eyes, could an X-Men movie, really be as bad as people were making it out to be? I don't know, because it's all subjective, but I sure didn't feel like it after that...

Yeah, it IS The Official Game of the X-Men, those other ones? Nah. X-Men: The Arcade Game? Nope, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter? Maybe, but I'm not seeing the words: "The Official Game" anywhere on it, so maybe not... X-Men: Destiny? No. X-Men Origins: Wolverine:The Game? Well, alright, that one's close enough, and a way better game that tells the events of the movie it's based on; (that being X-Men Origins: Wolverine), better than the actual movie, and as a side note: also, doesn't make me want to throw up in my mouth, or near the side of a shop window.
