The *best job* I ever had: about ten years ago I worked in a temporary position called "fire watch." Long story short, a small medical center was constructed in my hometown, and while the interior was still being built, the fire sprinklers and smoke alarms hadn't been installed yet. Thus a temp agency hired me for a three-week assignment to hang out there overnight -- all alone -- and make sure the building doesn't catch on fire. It was basically just a security guard job, only with fewer responsibilities, and in a mostly-empty building. I was there every night by myself doing whatever I wanted to do, and the whole place was my playground. I literally got paid to eat snacks, run around exploring, and watch Futurama DVDs. Then on the tragic day they installed the fire safety equipment, I became obsolete and the party ended.

Actually that's somewhat not true. I absolutely detested my job that I had a few years back that paid minimum wage - and sometimes below that (I won't go into details, basically working 12h/day for self-entitled morons that thought they were the centre of the universe and treated everyone else like they were their personal slaves - a job that would have paid at least triple what I was earning working at a different company, if not for the fact that they were the only ones in my hometown that were hiring remotely in a field of work that I wanted to build a career towards). If not for not wanting to be on social welfare and most importantly wanting to get some work experience for future jobs (that eventually paid off), I would have been a lot better off having no job and being on social welfare, if I were to only take into account the money I earned.

Basically, in many 3rd world countries, you have open sewage tanks, which would have a drain off to processing plants. Occasionally, debris from either dead animals, dead vegetation, or worse would get carried into these holding tanks, and stop the flow, causing really big problem! So Cesspool Diver would get dressed in a full body diving suit, try to find and remove the blockage and restore flow. But what makes it especially bad, is the these tanks are murky with human and other waste, making visibility poor. If they are not careful, they could run move into something could puncture the suit, which could put them at risk of drowning, and/or catching disease (such as hepatitis) in the human and other toxic waste in the sewage tanks. I think given the options, this is one job I would NEVER want to do.

When I was younger, I used to tan hides using traditional methods. I've used brains, lye, and urine before in tanning, but not once have I ever read anywhere that anyone has ever used feces. The point of the lye and urine as your video eludes to is the acidic value. In my case, the brain tanning is more to soften it back up near the final steps.

I've read it in an article in my country, very well written with details. The guy was doing Pig Transport, described the horrors it involved. He was with a driver, they had to take pigs in those large trucks, unload them. Was responsible of "making pigs go the way they had to go", 500-700 pounds of fierce meat with tusks that could easily tear a hole in you, male pigs were the worst. He was given a stick, tazer, some protective gear and was fighting for his life in places full of pigs manure, confused animals first time out of their sheds - getting crazy, agressive after hours of transport. Small spaces, > into the meat factory. He describet that they were wounding each other in tight spaces during the transport with their tusks, making each other go berserk after the realease. Probably sensing the pig slaughterhouse death aura, many gone bonkers. They gave him good money for this job, but he never came back again. Someone has to do this job nowdays, pretty nasty one to add to the list.
