Well I’m not sure where to start. There’s so much I could say about this trip!! But you know there’s always a silver lining….Amanda was there so I didn’t have to spend all my time with Gavin!!! Seriously, I must say Gavin makes photography fun and educational. We were together for 3 days and I think my face ached at the end from laughter. I can’t recommend a private session with Gavin enough. I certainly came away from our short time together with new tricks and techniques in my tool bag. After all that bag has slightly less chocolate in it. I can’t wait for our next time together. Thanks Gavin!!!

Great video and stills as always, Gavin. I always enjoy the madcap hi-jinx!!..FYI I share your affection for that perfect, snotless fried egg. The key to this, which was handed down to me by my forefathers, is a lid on the frying pan so the heat is reflected downwards onto the yolk.... preferably glass so you can see the frying progression. Once that nice white skin is formed over the yolk, the lid is removed and the pan is shaken quickly but not too vigorously making sure the yolk doesn't over-jiggle. If it does, then it's not quite ready so the lid is replaced and the egg is given a few more seconds for that perfect sunny core. It's important to remain vigilant however as 10 seconds over the line makes for that stiff 'hard-boiled' yolk consistency. Anyway, looking forward to the next video for that great shot you speak of.....cheers!!

My grandfather told me when I was a young child about carving initials into trees or writing on restroom walls: "fool's names and monkey faces are always seen in public places". That took away any desire I might have ever had for that foolishness. I like that fleece jacket you are wearing in the second part of this video. And BTW, you guest had a couple of really good compositions. I especially liked his shot of the tree on stilts. Munching on a chocolate bar (Sainsbury's Double Take) sitting here in my Man Cave (with ELO ramping out in the background) your lusting after British chocolate reminded me of when I was a little lad and my Mum's sister (who had married a Canadian soldier post WW2 and moved to Toronto) who used to send us a box of Canadian Chocolates every Christmas, despite us here in the UK still being on sweet rationing these chocolates were so disgusting its was like eating brown Stork margarine, they were so bad they ended up being consigned to the bin every New Year. This scenario went on for the best part of fifteen years! My Mum was too polite to say STOP sending us those awful chocolates……….

Well another episode "in the can", I wonder if you'll embarrass someone so they feel "flushed" in part 2, or was that No. 2? Your client did get a nice serious of photos during this one on one sometimes too close for comfort instruction outing. I liked his panorama at the knotted tree and his sunbeams at the end of the shoot. You did get a nice sun star in that last shot, but the sunbeams were better in his. I know you couldn't, wouldn't possibly be competitive with a client... perish the though! 🤣😂 You should come out with a brand of hip waders called "foggy bottoms", "it's not clear until it's too close for comfort".
